A2B were meant to pick up 3 famliy members on the 16th booked transfer on line as some of the people on the forum recommended them
they got to dalaman booked in not on transfer list got that was sorted then the driver charged them 1-00Gbp for haif litre of water then to top that charged them 10-00Gbp for 2 phones calls to ilknur as driver could not find the booked dropping off point
not a very good start
-
I also followed the recommendations from the forum and our arrival journey with them was a nightmare and I've completed the customer satisfaction survey to that effect.(No reply though!) Driver drove like a lunatic using the cones as his own slalom track to weave in and out of to overtake on the contraflow plus a number of other dodgy moves.
Like an idiot I tipped him 5 lire....don't ask me why ......and he had the nerve to ask me for more!! The return journey was great, they sent a car for us with a young lad who drove very well so I was a bit more generous with that tip!! I found the staff at the airport very efficient,as well as the confirmation staff, it was just the first driver who was so poor.
I picked them to save a bit of cash but have now decided to revert to Fethiye Airport transfers who we would usually use. Their drivers are excellent and I'd rather pay more to arrive calmly instead of a nervous wreck (or worse).
-
Well that's 4 bad reviews out of the last 4 posts about A2B - I was one of the people that recommended them, might try one of the others next time.
-
we used them in July on way to Dalaman and in August back to Calis, no problems at all,
-
My family have used them twice this year with no problems at all. In fact they were going to be 15mins late on the return to Dalaman and phoned thru to the Kaan Hotel reception to let them know. Is it like restuarants just luck on the day?????
-
We used them for trips in August and did not encounter any problems either, be a shame if they are starting to go down hill:(
-
We have been using Rain Transfer for the past couple of years. Always found them to be very reliable. Their drivers are also very good. just google raintransfer
-
Just used them today through travel republic.
Best £6.80 one way I've had.
They were great, better than paying £35 one way.
-
Thats where I first heard of them as well Barry, I can book them from Scotland, pay by pay-pal, and they e-mail the confirmation and contact details for arrival at Dalaman. So far they have been great.
-
i just think its a rouge driver trying his luck its the first time my brother and sister in law have been over my mother has been over a few times but she 75 but still an easy target
lets see what happens on the return
-
We have used A2B a few times the last time beeing this week and can honestly say we have never had any problems.
-
we've used them twice this year and family and friends a few times too.
Personally I have had no problems and had safe steady driving.
Last time we got water and lemonade for the kids and not asked for any money.
Waiting for other passengers at Dalaman is a pain, but any shared transfer has this problem.
Our last pick-up was also bang on time.
-
We were picked up in May and the driver drove past our hotel. We thought well he will drop us off on way back..no he drove passed again. Despite us shouting he drove passed and went to Pine Valley instead of Pine Hills.
This time drop off was fine and picked up on time. Driving out of Hisaronu driver did a u turn and went back for two passengers that he missed. He then drove to Calis and had to stop twice to ask directions to a hotel.
It was a bit faulty towers but it gets the passengers talking. He id drive safely, and we are as well sitting on a bus with a mystery tour as sitting in Dalaman airport ...gives you time to drink the water before you reach the airport!!!!!!!!!!
-
The sale of water & beer has been standard on every trip I've had from Dalaman, irrespective of who I organised it with.
As for the drivers skill, it's Turkey!
-
I used A2B when I went to the UK in July - no problem. I used them again when I came back in September - no problem. My daughter used them recently both ways and had no problem - even had a free bottle of water on the trip from Dalaman.
-
I used them in April they were excellent - pick up on time - free water going - coming back one passenger had 100 kgs of excess baggage and a bag went missing - the driver went into the airport with her to help her report it and was very helpful - well worht the money. My brother in law took me the time before - now that was scary - in and out of the cones - overtaking on a bend and a hill, truly terrifying but free - A2B every time for me :-)
-
Having been let down with raintransfers(see my previous posting) I did consider using A2B for my return transfer but on reflection I
think I will be giving them a miss and biting the bullet with Orange
who are more expensive but who are reliable.
-
Arthur at Fethiye Lovers has never let us down and we've used them several times if that's any help?
-
Totally agree with Bluwise, would not dream of using anyone else but Fethiye lovers. Total professionals who are always prompt and give great service.
-
It's a great saving if you are travelling alone - but once you get to family of four, you are very close to the price of a private return transfer anyway. I don't mind waiting around a bit on my own to save around £60, waiting around with the family to save about a tenner is a non-starter.
-
Returned last night great driver on arrival and also on departure. As a lone traveller saved more than £50.Understandably took a little longer but I will use them again.

Me too Jacqui, allways use Fethiye Lovers, Ertugrul and his father Leon, nice people and very reliable.[^] :)
-
I gave them a "try" when I came out on my own in July, and to be totally honest I could not fault the service, we are coming out again tomorrow and have booked them again, the wife and I, still saving us £42, but still that element of risk, I guess, but we'll have to wait and see. 8)
-
I used them for the first time two wks ago and the driver was very scary and intimedating being as I was a lone lady traveller,I arrived at 11-30pm and having only a 50TL note attempted to put the loose change left over from my last visit into the tip box whereupon he growled at me is that english ? I said no Turkish he replied "what you dont have more" and stood defiantly waiting for more, had there been more folk about I might well have taken it back and said I dont need to give you anything,I got the same driver going back and other people on the bus said he asked them for £10 tip when he dropped them off and they reluctantly paid.
On a brighter note my daughter arrived the same day but earlier than me and their young driver was amazing, stopped and bought fresh water and a couple of beers for my son in law and didnt take any money for them my son in law had to run after him to make him accept a tip.
so if your driver is 50 ish fat with a tash and glasses ----- wait for the next bus!
-
I would also report him to the company if I was you. Intimidation and demands for money are not doing their reputation any good.
-
I have emailed them to let them know what is written. I would hope they will take direct action locally. I'll let you know if I get a reply. Disgraceful behaviour.
-
I intend to make my experience known to them on Monday Heather,I just arrived home late Friday and spent yesterday at the walk in health center trying to get some treatment for a chest infection I brought back with me so have only just started to muster a bit today,
Luckily I am a regular visitor Scunner and he wont deter me from future visits but his attitude might well have scared others off,I believe the people who gave him the £10 he asked for had relations they were visiting who telephoned the company to complain, so they do already have a complaint about him.but Im sending them my booking ref so theres no mistake made as to who he was, because it really was a frightening experience for a lone 64yr old female,I really wouldnt want him dropping me off at one of the more remote hotels.
-
Well quite right, it shouldn't happen to a female travelling alone but it shouldn't happen to anyone travelling. This is supposed to be a safe way to travel, the first part of your Turkey experience. Those of us who do our bit to promote Turkey come up against this stereotypical view that all you get is hassle - and should one of those people book A2B from Dalaman and get this guy, they would have their bigoted view of Turkey confirmed before they even reached their hotel. Why should anyone's hard earned holiday start like that? It simply isn't on and I hope A2B take it extremely seriously.
-
I hope so Scunner like you say those with a bigoted view would certainly give a knowing "told you so " if they got this guy, my daughter couldnt believe the difference between our experiences on the same night 4hrs apart her driver was amazing she asked if he had water for sale in his cool box and he said I will get fresh stuff and promply stopped at a market for water but also got two beers for the son in law saying "I dont think water is for you " but when he reached their hotel he just dropped off the cases and jumped back in the bus and waved goodbye, my son in law had to run and stop him to pay for the beers and water but he tried to wave him away.what a difference !

That description matches the driver who picked us up at Dalaman and tried it on for more money, I was fortunate that my husband was with me that time so he didn't try to intimidate us for more money but still had the nerve to ask.
-
I'm sure I had the same guy yesterday. I only had a small amount of loose change, less than £1 but he was a steady driver, asked if anyone wanted a "fag break" & was generally polite & helpful so offered him this direct to his hand whereby he looked at it & gave it back to me! As far as I'm concerned the transfer company did their job efficiently & without fuss, drivers own personal loss he shoved my shrapnel back to me!
PS: During the discussion as we waited for 2 passengers he said he was a policeman in Fethiye & did a couple of nights a week to earn extra money to send his 2 sons to university, maybe that's why he's pushy for money???
-
Sent my complaint email off to them today with the ref number of my booking,I will let you know the outcome as soon as I hear from them.
-
just back from a mini break, A2B were fine both ways (although picked up 30 mins early on way back).
I'll continue to use them.
-
Just to update, I emailed A2B about this intimidating driver report (and him demanding money) on Sunday evening. I got a read receipt at 9-02am Monday morning and even though they read it, and I provided a link to this topic, to date they ignored it and I received no reply at all.
-
Probably A2B off my list now. I realise this is only one driver and the others are probably fine, but if the company now know about these issues and seem to be completely ignoring them why give them your business and risk it.
We used ResortHoppa for a holiday in Spain a couple of weeks ago and the service was excellent, couldn't fault it, though this was a private transfer not a shuttle. Would certainly use them again.
-
I got an email from them a couple of days ago asking me to fill in a customer satisfaction survey. Every time I fill it in 50p will be donated to one of their charities

Thanks you in advance for your assistance
A2Btransfers.com Customer Services Team
i think it might be inresponse to Scunners email
-
I wondered if that was the case. I am sure I never got one in May.
I wonder if they are trying to suss out how many folk have been approached?
-
it might be it was sent two days ago
-
I've filled out the questionnaire & also emailed them seperately with my thoughts, no reply as of yet & yes, it was the 1st time I've had a feedback form from them too so maybe Scunners presence has done the trick, again!
-
These questionnaires may or may not have been as a result of my email to them - but a short acknowledgement of it would have been professional. Lets hope people respond to it honestly and something is done about this aggressive man. We're not looking to harm their business, quite the opposite in fact.

I still havn't had a reply to my complaint other than the read receipt either, thought they might at least let me know that they will look into it.
-
I have just replied to their email. \mentioned the driver not knowing where he was going and addedd the following so that they know this is now common knowledge..I am disturbed to hear that a lady was asked by a driver for tips and that one of your drivers have been driving in an unsafe manner. Had that happened to us we would NOT use your company again. If we do not hear that this has been sorted we will NOT use your company again. Which is a shame as we have no complaints about your service to us but could not risk getting drivers who do not take care. No way will we give tips to folk who demand it..........
-
I was sent one of those questionnaires when we returned at the beginning of September, I filled it in complaining about the first driver but complimented the second and to date have had no acknowledgement at all from them.
-
My friend used them for a transfer from Dalaman last night - her flight arrived at 0225 this morning. She booked the transfer direct to my apartment - the airport operator telephoned me when she got on the bus and asked me for directions. When the arrived at the Besik Hotel the driver rang me to say he didn't know where it was and asked if it was close by - it's about 100m so I offered to walk down at meet them - he waited with her until my husband and I arrived to collect her. Very happy with service :-)
-
I used this company for the first time in August. Myself and my daughter were greeted by a 8 seater shuttle car, brand new with leather seats. No waiting around for other people.Got to my apartment with no trouble but only because i could give directions. My other two daughters arrived 3 days later with a completey different story.Asking to be dropped of at the pelin, the driver tried to put them out of the taxi a long way from where the pelin is.He insisted that this was the Pelin!!!Fortunately my daughter recognised that it wasnt right and managed to direct him correctly. When he dropped them of he insisted for a tip.My daughters had no lira on them and tried to explain to which they were then chased down the road.Very frightning especialy as this was 5 in the morning. The return transfer wasnt much better either.
-
1 more positive transfer on Saturday for my guest, everything spot on, nice driver, no asking for anything & straight to my apt with no problem.
-
Yes but no reports of an aggressive middle aged driver since this topic came to their attention - maybe he's gone?
-
So far I have only used A2B for arriving at Dalaman and have booked a private transfer for return journey. I want to try them this month for my return trip as well (will be on a tight budget as having dental work done with the lovely Cagatay)when you book the return pick up do you say the time you want them to pick you up or do they tell you a time depending on how many other people they are picking up? many thanks for any replies as always.
-
They tell you the time based on your flight time and other pick ups. Have never been on a bus with many other people and always people going to the same area. Have always been at the airport in plenty of time :-)
-
Just used A2B for the first time, everything was spot on and driver was great. Will use them again for sure.
-
Yes used them twice now and no significant problems, particularly taking into considering the price difference between them and an individual transfer.
-
Just used them last week for transfers to and from Dalaman, excelent service!!
-
Nobody harassed by a middle aged driver lately then? Maybe he's been given the boot - hope so!
-
Used them a lot of times and have no complaints, always found them great.
-
Have booked with them for my return trip as well this time,I normally get a private transfer for return but am on a budget trip this visit so fingers crossed all will go well:D
-
Both my recent guests used A2B, no problems with any of their transfers & the surly chap hasn't been seen again so may be no longer or possibly we've just been lucky not to see him amongst the other drivers they have.
-
An update to my situation: Received the email below this morning, am happy that a: I got an apology & b: a 50% refund of my transfer cost.
Dear...(name removed for my privacy)
Thank you for your feedback received with regards your Recent trip to Turkey and the unfortunate events with regards the Driver that led to you receiving a less than favorable experience when transferred from the Airport to your Hotel.
We take these complaints very seriously as we have a Contract with the Company in Turkey to provide our clients with Excellent Service and if that Company is not living up to our Expectations then we need to address it with them with a View to reconsidering the Contract we have with them and whether we need to find another Supplier in Turkey for 2012.
We have sent this Complaint to the Company that provided your Transfer and await their Feedback and Explanation as to what the reason was that their Service Levels on this occasion were not met.
As a token of our commitment to you as a valued client, I wish to offer you a 50% refund on your Booking rate paid. Should this not be recovered from the Agent, then A2B will carry this Refund as we have paid this Agent in Resort in Full for providing the Transfer.
A Refund is usually confirmed once the Agent in Resort has refunded A2B transfers.com. However, in light of the fact that you have used our Services before, I do not want you to have wait any longer for a commitment from our side that this matter has not been taken lightly.
Our Finance Department will Process your Refund first thing in the morning and send you confirmation once your Refund has been proceesed to your Credit Card.
Once Again, please accept our sincerest apology for the poor service the Driver in Resort provided on the transfer and be assured we are addressing this in Full with the Company in Turkey who provided the transfer.
Kindest regards,
Maryke Costa
General Manager

Edit: I have received a further email from the finance dept stating the refund has been allocated back to my credit card.

A final update:- The driver concerned is no longer working for A2B & as a result of starting the questionnaires in September.
A2B also had this to say: It has become evident that even though more than 95% of the Responses are positive, it is the remaining responses with issues raised that get delayed due to us not having implemented an alert system to identify these responses with issues immediately. So whilst we are working through the Questionnaire Responses individually, that important critical response with issues may be last to be opened and that is the one we ideally need to address first and foremost. In an effort to improve our service from the UK, I am addressing the possibility of an alert system with our IT department so that we can be sure to address all responses with issues prior to starting on the Positive responses. I believe that this will impact positively on the Service to clients, especially those clients who have had a less than favorable experience In dealing with the Agent in Resort - we really do not want to add to their Inconvenience if this can be avoided in any way.
All in all I think a good result for anyone who receives less than satisfactory service.
-
Yes it's very proactive & positive customer service. It doesn't always follow that an individual that is obviously causing a loss of business in resort is detected back at head office - or even if it is that they do anything about it. All good stuff, my one experience of A2B was as reported on here, very impressive and I was disappointed to see the reviews become negative. Thanks for keeping us informed Mark.
-
That sounds like a very good, above average, response to a number of customer complaints.
Well done A2B for addressing the issue in this way.
-
I have to say two of my visitors in the last month have used this service and there were no problems whatsoever. We did go to the office to book and telephoned two days beforehand to check exact time of pickup . Good polite service and was on time .Will definitely use them again .
-
I have at last had a reply to my complaint but not the original which was sent 26th Sept,
this was in response to a special offer email asking if I would book any of their excursions etc. I sent a message back to them saying as they hadn't responded to my complaint I wouldnt be inclined to book an excursion with them or another transfer for that matter ! which Im happy to say did the trick and I have been asked to send my booking reference to them again which I have done, it will be interesting to see what they say and if they have indeed done anything about the driver.
-
I know it is the end of the season now:( so not many people probably booking transfers, but just wanted to say we used A2B for our October trip both inward journeys (hubby joined me a few days later)fantastic, the return one was late in picking up, the driver had to go back to the office, as my pick up point was the Pelin I went in and used their phone and phoned the emergency number so at least I knew he was on his way.
I emailed the company when back in Blighty and I can honestly say I have had fantastic customer service, in fact one of the best customer service's I have ever had, I did suggest maybe a simple text message to let the person know if the driver will be late for reassurance and they have said they will look into maybe doing this.
As a sometimes lone traveller and hubby often joining me later it is so much more economical for us rather then booking a private transfer, so I will definetly be using them again next year :)
-
Does anyone know if A-B operate all year round? Looking for transfer in December.
-
They will offer a private transfer from Dalaman to Calis but not a shuttle. I've booked a shuttle with another company for 26th December @ £8.50 (appx from memory). If you want details let me know & I'll post them for you.
-
Yes please Mark :)
