Hi all, I haven't posted any photos of late so I thought I would post some of The Halfpenny pier at Harwich. We went there tonight just before it got dark, at twilight as heading says and it looked so lovely. So different at night time. So took quite a few shots. Then went to the old Globe pub round the corner from the pier and Had a large glass of wine and a Guiness for the other half. Then on the way home we had a Macdonalds, cheese burger fries and an apple pie. We certainly know how to live it up. lol. Seriously though, it's the first Maccad of the year and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Anyway hope you like the pics.

I know it isn't Calis but I can't get over again this year so I just have to make do with what is on my doorstep. If only we got the weather to go with it eh.... :)

They are Lovely!! I wish I could take such good photos!

Thanks Jules, often the evenings you don't plan tend to be the best and this was one of them. It wasn't planned but it turned out to be a really enjoyable evening. :)

Great snaps as always.
What editing software are you using Jacx? & what filter/effect was put on to get the extra blues? PSP nor Photo Filtre do a decent blue, well not that I can get right anyway!

Hi Supacabby, I just imported them into Picasa on my pc and all I did was darken them slightly otherwise they are as they came off the camera. I shot them on Manual at 800 ISO at F5.6 then I under exposed by 1 stop and that gave them that lovely dark blue. Hope that helps. Jacx
Also the slower shutter speed made the lights twinkle too.

Thanks for the info, it's the under exposed bit I was missing, will try that sometime.

Jack, would you be willing to share the first and fourth photos in high resolution format? I would love to have it blown up and on the wall
Steve

Hi Steve I would be happy to send them to you by email probably one at a time as they are large files, but whether they will be good enough to blow up really big I don't know. Bearing in mind they were shot at ISO800 and at a slow shutter speed they may be a bit grainy but you are more than welcome to have a go,and I would like to know how they turn out. :)
