Title: Favourite Calis Bar - Restaurant 2011

To make it an 'official' topic - the season is drawing to a close and it will be good to hear what your favourite place was.

The poll facility is no longer with us so we'll just add up at the end in traditional fashion. Not your top 3, not your favourite plus 4 highly commended ones, no "can't choose between these two"...

Well.... er think it might have been the Orient actually! really up'd their game this season!
However did enjoy Georges on the occasion we went, ditto Er-Oz and Harem!

My favourite restaurant in Fethiye/Calis is; Erkin Aparthotel EVERY time ! :P:P:P:P

Without any doubt, Okyanus.

John doesn't like fish, but I finally persuaded him to give the Okyanus a try.

He conservatively had the commom soul (no bones). But I had the sea bass and it was beautiful, absolutely gorgeous and cooked to prefection.

Only drawback is the rather limited menu but well worth a visit.

felt Orient express had seriously upped their game tyhis year!

Had a copcktail at bar above and enjoyed the Sunset and was going to Fethiye but throught I woudl try the Orient.

Excellent, food was lovely, very hot, and the service very good and the wine reasonable priced. Just a nice evening!

Nil Bar - never yet had a sub-standard meal in about 50 visits over 5 years. Even the morning Bacon Butties are quality!

As I recall, previous attempts at a light hearted vote on favourite bars and restaurants ended up with endless complaints like "I like the ***** but it is in the restaurants vote but we go there for a few drinks so why is it not in bars" and "We love the food in ***** Bar, why is it in bars".

So this year, to simplify it to a level that all but around 5 members can grasp, think of it as "What is your favourite Calis establishment for charged consumables". If we can pull together and manage that, I think we could possibly get through this.

For us, definitely Bella Mamas. Not the cheapest, but never had a bad meal there, and never anyone out the front of restaurant begging customers to go inside. Says it all really!

For us it has to be Bella Mama - the food is consistently good and very reasonable plus they have my favourite wine which is also not overpriced.

On our fatal night, we ate at Barbella's and we would recommend it to anyone. The place was clean, the meal was good and mine host was amiable and attentive, what more could you ask for ?

I'd like to say, I've never eaten in Bostan's, but, having had the worst cocktail I've ever had there one sunset, would DEFIINTELY not feel encouraged to try their food!  Am I wrong, though?
(if the expensive cocktail had seen anything except colouring, sugar and water, I'd be amazed!  My friend's glass of wine was horrible, too!)
