Has anyone else felt the need recently to purchase an item or items of clothing that they wore in their youth?
Well I have succumbed to that urge and recently purchased a Harrington jacket (aka a Rodney). The last Harrington I owned was purchased from Sid's Boutique in the local market in 1969-70. I believe it cost me 69 shillings and sixpence or 69s/6d. Now I must also confess to buying a pair of monkey boots last year, but have not been brave enough yet to wear these two essential items of teenage fashion from my youth at the same time:D
So come on tell us what clothing items you have (re) purchased that was fashionable in your youth. Surely I can't be the only saddo of a certain age to have thought that I would cut some sartorial elegance today, in wearing the fashion of my youth - albeit in a much larger size ;)

I would like to be able to buy Carharrts Ice Blue Denim Jeans, & V-necked jumpers with different coloured Polo-neck inserts. Our group used to wear these on stage in the late 60's/70's !!

My fondest memory of clothing was a pair of sky blue flairs or bellbottoms jeans I bought them in Torquay in the early sixties when i was a slim 28" waist. I loved those jeans wore and wore them until the the ass fell out of them happy days.

Harrington jackets were really smart,I had a black one with tartan lining. There was even a club called Peyton place we went to a few times,I think it was in Kent
Might treat myself Xmas to a pair of oxblood loafers :)
The saying goes - If you can remember the 60's you wasn't there, but I can remember them well - great times

A pair of brown and white platform sole shoes (despite what scunner said about them on here).
The reason I liked them so much was that they had 4" heels and made me look 5'6" 8)
