Joan are you looking for a shop selling the bathroom cermaics etc. or are you looking for a builder to put it in, or perhaps both?

My friend Mercury had a new bathroom done by Bayram (the electricians) brother.  He made a fantastic job, very reasonable and cost a lot less than quoted by others. Took them round to buy fixtures fittings and tiles and got them a lot less than they had been quoted. If you ring Bayram 0535 2392334 he will sort you out

We went to the shop just passed Kipa, heading into Fethiye on the Kipa side of the road.(Not the one opposite which is really expensive).  They don't speak a lot of English, it seems all the Turkish people use the place. They have a really good range of bathroom stuff.  We called in and ordered a bathroom sink and taps which was housed in a unit and we got a matching bathroom cabinet. Saw these at 4.00pm in the afternoon and asked could they be fitted?  They where at our place the next morning took the old sink out and fitted the new stuff we had bought.  They never even broke any of the original tiles and were so clean and tidy.  It was unbelievably cheap, I know because my son is a Plumber.
We would not hesitate to recommend them and we will use them again.

I had my bathroom done around 18 months ago, I bought nearly everthing I needed at Mendos, which is virtually next door to the Bim that is on the RHS on the main road into Fethiye, just past B&Q but not as far as the Migros turning. Most of the other shops were much of a muchness, but Mendos had some really nice stuff that was a bit different but not hugely more expensive.

Loz & I are having a load of floor tiles delivered this week from the new "Yeginler Yapi Market", on Adnan Menderes Bulvari. They have the best, most modestly priced selection of tiles, bathroom fittings, etc.etc. & extremely good prices for fitting/installations. We are having 1st quality tiles for a price of 7.5 YTL per square metre, to buy, & the same cost per square metre for fitting. All adhesives are extra; each pack of adhesive will lay 5.52 square metres of floor tiles at 7.5 YTL per pack. Grout, (your colour choice) is 12.5 YTL for enough to do 40 square metres plus.
Hope this helps, the shop is situated on the main road from the Otogar toward Gunlukbasi, a couple of hundred metres before the Shell Petrol Station. Happy Tiling !! :D

Joan I'd endorse Bayram as well, he's done some really good work for us, and he's a very nice guy with good english.

Can't recommend any one bathroom/cermaic shop as we shopped around with the builder.

Good luck with the project

Bayram took us to the same place as you Liz and negotiated a better price than we could get. Our bathroom is really modern and Bayrams tesm did a great job 1000 TL less than our first quote for the same tiles, shower screen and vanity unit. etc.

1000TL how big is your bathroom?  We have just bought 40sqm with adhesive and grout for 354tl and the total fit is approx 250Tl 2 days labour, uplift existing floor and re-lay.

Loz Is the 250 TL just for putting the floor tiles down, does this shop that your hubby GordonA posted about sell just bathroom things.

Loz I have found the website of "Yeginler Yapi Market" but when you click on items they sell nothing comes up on it, when you were in there did you notice if they had the free standing baths the ones on leggies, or the new modern shaped ones.

I am just going to the shop to pay for the tiles, I will have a look, they did have a catalogue on the desk so maybe they get most items.
The price Gordon first quoted for laying the tiles was from the shop, not sure if this included the sticky stuff to lay them or not, the price I quoted is private, works out pretty much the same.

What I like is that everything is priced with proper barcoded labels, the price you see is the price you paY, I can't be arsed will this haggling lark now.
Bathroom wall tiles started approx 4.5tl per Sqm. cooker hoods retractable type 55tl snug fit wash basin cupboard and mirror with shelves and cupboard 310tl complete. roof tile 1tl sunloungers 70tl.  I hope they stay around for us next year.

http://www.yeginleryapimarket.com  website not yet complete, they say new year, but hey Turkey.  The shop is still new and setting up, if you see something they can get it and noted that they tend to look at http://www.koctas.com.tr Turkey B&Q, she looked but could find the bath with legs, found it on the UK site though.
I did make a mistake, bathroom tiles start a lot less than 4tl per Sqm.

No Sus, I kept well clear of any cake shop:D

Hi. That was the whole bathroom. Complete stripping off of old tiles including floor tiles. New vanity unity and mirror unit, New toilet and seat. glass shower screen which reach across the whole bathroom and shower unit and all labour. This is what was 1000 cheaper than the other quotes. The shower screen on its own was 250 TL cheaper than all the other quotes we got and it was the same one we looked at each time!! We had expensive non slip tiles put on the floor because my husband needs them.:D

Try Engin at Fethiye Property Services. He's just re-done the whole of our wet room. Re-tiled floor and walls, new shower, new toilet, new basin and tap with vanity unit, new window, moved the boiler into the loft and fitted a new basin and tap in the downstairs loo. Plus all the other 'little bits and bats you need such as towel rail and loo holder.

Cost was about 1500ytl and the work is excellent as always.

Engin also picked us up and drove us to all the shops we needed to go to in order to choose everything.

Yep, Bayram for us every time. He has done many and various projects in our apartment including two bathrooms and a roof terrace. He is a very decent and honest man and gives great value for money.
