Is this an odd question?
Looking to book right now for the 21st october for ten nights. I can wait to return there, but.....my kids and wife want to know is it warm enough to swimm in the sea and or pool. Also is the ewather good chance of more sun than rain at end of october.
Thanks

I would say yes - better after the very hot months than before them, and us Brits on holiday can't resist a pool. It's different if you live there though - we used to be in the pool in early May when we used to holiday there, but even considering such a thing in May when you live there is madness!

thanks, read a review and someone said def not. Hol in calis hinges on this site...no pressure but i really want to come back

The season doesnt officially finish until the 31st of this month So the pools should still be maintained and will be warm after the heat of the summer The sea is also lovely and warm still for swimming but this week it has been noticeable that the evenings are getting longer and cooler So if swimming, do so in the daytime while the sun is shining and warm enough to dry off in :)

anyome there right now tell me how warm the water is ??
cheers for the posts

Dont know right at this moment But I went on a boat trip last week and the water was very warm It warms up during the summer heat and will continue to be warm well into November, usually :-\
-
Our pool, in Uzumlu, is 22 degree's. The sea, and pools in Calis, are a lot warmer.
-
I swam in the pool yesterday, it was a tad nippy getting in but once under water it was fine. As Eric says, the sea is much warmer at the mo & still lots swimming in it every day.

Sea temperature is just a state of mind

Swam in the sea at th end of October last year no problem.
Swam at Easter this year too, but that was cold!
-
When we left a few days ago it was a bit of a cold shock getting into our pool and for the first 20 seconds or so. The sea was quite a bit warmer and very pleasant to swim in 8)

Apparently the sea stays a warmish 18c all year round, hence us loonies swimming in it on xmas day numerous times. Pools will cool but - peeps only just coming out wont notice they are too cool only us mad locals will.
-
Swam in the sea last week while on a boat trip, and the water was very warm, well over 20 degrees, warmer than the pool.
-
Water at Olu D is still 25c at the mo, so nice for a dip

Here is a link to a site which gives you the information you want about the climate, sea temperature etc.
http://www.holidaycheck.com/climate-wetter_Fethiye-ebene_oid-id_6740.html
The average water temperature for Fethiye in October is 22 degrees, there are 8 hours of sunshine each day and there are 6 days of rain in the month ( I think we have had all those already). However, these figures are only averages.

Yup, sea temp. only ever 16 degrees minimum and presently more than that of course. A lot of swimming pools are to hot in Summer and the sea is more refeshing, then presently to cold in the pool, but warmer in the sea.
