Our dearest friends were kind enough to invite us to their son's wedding yesterday and a splendid affair it was.
But I am personally becoming increasingly vexed at the time the poor newly married couple have to endure posing for photographes these days.
The happy couple yesterday were less than happy at still having to smile two hours plus after the whole process started.
It is of course no coincidence that matters are digital now and the photographer does not have to go to the expense of buying rolls of film.

By far the quickest set of wedding photos I saw was at the wedding of a friend, who married a para. The best man was a red cap, well over 6' tall & built like the proverbial out house. As one group were posing, the best man was demanding that the next lot get ready "in the wings" job done in about half an hour.

Thses days! My brother in law got married 25 years ago in N.Ireland the month was April. The photographs where taken in the grounds of a country house Hotel. We all stood around having pictures taken. My daughter who was a bridesmaid was cold hungry and miserable and when we look back at the photographs now we see her with the most awful frown on her face, she refused to smile after 2 hours!! We all gave up and went back to the Hotel, leaving the happy couple with the photographer who found even nicer places in the grounds to take more pictures. The total time the photographer took was 4 hours.

I agree, and it causes the rest of us to become far to p***ed at the reception waiting for them.
