Title: Every cloud has a hamster lining?

My 5 yr old grandaughter recently witnessed the death of one of her Guinea Pigs.After seeing it pass away,she never shed a tear,but whispered to her dad,"Can I have a hamster please".Oh dear.I cried when my budgie died.

I remember when my son was about 5 and he had 2 hamsters. We found one of them dead one morning, so once I'd broken the news to him, we decided to bury it in the garden. So, we dug a little hole, wrapped the hamster in cottonwool and buried it. Then covered it and put a stick in the ground to mark the 'grave'. After a minute's silence I said "What do you fancy going now then Michael" and he replied "Can we bury the other one now" ?
