Does anyone know where there are any large wicker baskets made/for sale? It would need to be strong enough to hold logs ....
-
they have them on the main road from Karacula / Patlangic going towards Fethiye, opposite Migros near the shops that sell pictures and mirrors, they do all sorts of baskets and pots in there
-
Checked in there today Kayakebab and the only one which had handles (which you obviously need for lifting) were enormous! Whilst I want a large log basket those were far too big too handle lol
-
oh thats a shame, the garden centre opposite Migros sometimes has some, but guessing you would have tried there as so close to the other place

I think when we were on hols we saw a guy selling baskets on Calis market , don't know if he makes them ,or if they are o.k or not, they were near the kitchen supplies and diy stalls.

I got mine last year from a man selling them at the Tuesday market, he didnt have a stall but he was near the little bridge over the canal. It was 20TL, such good value, 40cms high and 50cms accross top. Just the right size for logs.

I don't know what you call enormous, but I have a wicker basket going for free if you want it. It is 21 inches tall and 19 inches wide at the top.
Can deliver to Calis Prom or anywhere between Gunlukbasu and Calis prom.
Send me a PM if you would like it.
I would be pleased if you would make a small donation to Animal Ais, but it is not a prerequisite!

We have only purchased a sobor base which is a reinforced platform with ceramics covereing it.
It is suppoded to be for the sobor but we keep the logs on it.
You may see in the pic.

I was in jj"s last saturday and they had a load in there :)

a chap sits at the bottom of the Uzumlu Hill ( almost as you get into Gunlukbashi) making them. He sells them at the front of his house. Quite reasonable if you barter with him.
