TWO
Through the cloud and sunshine
With a message to convey
It does not know the reason
But it surely knows the way
What is it ?

Sorry heather07 NO to both.

Three nines make 20:
(Cue the "not the answer on the card" reply)
What I would do is 9 minus 9 = 0
Leaves 9, then I would turn an = on it's side to make 11, and the remaining 9 + 11 = 20
-
Sorry heather07 NO to both.
-
9 onion
-
scunner - it is indeed not the answer on the card but you can have bonus point for the inventiveness of your answer:D
I should say that the answer includes a "symbol" other that the plus, minus, divide and multiply ones :-\
heather07 YES

Four is a unique number. It is the only number that...
-
Comes between three and five[?]
-
I bet myself that the first answer would be that. I didn't think it would be from you though.
No - 3.743 comes between 3 and 5 and I know quite a few more :)
-
Not the answer on the card then.
-
Just give me two minutes, I'm cutting a card out of the Sugar Puffs box

No
-
It's the only number that is the sum of it's square root.
-
That doesn't even make sense :D
-
Square root of 4 = 2
2+2 = 4
Now give me the point :)
-
Five is twice as close to being it as one is, but of course neither are as only four is. Six is exactly 50% of the way to being it, and ten is further away from being it than eleven is. Seven and three are equally close to being it, but it isn't five :)

The sum of two isn't four John, it is two :D
Not the answer on the card.

But correct all the same. n'est-ce pas.

Well actually no! Is four "the sum of it's square root"? No!
-
Ok. Four is the only number who's square root when add to it's square root equals the original number.
-
I'm glad we finally got that cleared up.
Not the answer on the card :D
-
Is it the only number that has the same number of letters as the number. ;)
-
Finally :D
