This poor little girl was accidently run over last week, she has been to the vets and taken all the treatment well, unfortunately she has a broken leg and will need caring for for several weeks, in the meantime we shall try and find her a permanent home, if anyone can help please let me know.

Thanks Andy for putting her photo on the forum and helping to try and find her a permanent home.
Sadly we are the ones who accidently knocked her down .She is a lovely little dog and recovering well from her operation,getting stronger every day. She has been badly treated and is very timid .She was frightened of everything that moved but is getting a little more confident now. I dont think she is used to so much freedom as she was tied up 24/7.
I like to think that she realises not all people will hurt her.
Wish we could keep her but we have 3 large boisterous dogs who are not very friendly with her, we have to keep them separated.
If anyone could give her a home I think she will make someone a loyal companion as you can see she apreciates everything you do for her.
Her owner no longer wanted her after she was knocked down we were told we should not have wasted our money !!!!She was replaced within a day :(

How callous and unfortunately so typical of some pet owners here
I hope someone will give her a good home soon.

We are still looking for a home for the little injured dog. She is getiing better everyday and starting to walk on her leg, her confidence is growing too.
She is still very timid but comes and wags her tail if you let her come to you.
I really wish we could keep her as she is a little darling who has been badly treated but 2 of our dogs are not good with her.
If anyone feels they could help her your kindness would be much apreciated .

Hi sue , I hope that someone can help out, might be worth putting a photo and a few words in each of the vets. Also ask your freinds to put something in there cars.
You never know someone might read it good luck x

Some good news we have managed to find "Lily" (her new name)a new home.
Hopefully she will settle in well and that she enjoys her new life in Calis. :)

Had some bad news today Lily,s new owners have been told by thier landlord that Lily has to go or they have to leave.
She was so happy in her new home really settled. They are really sorry to have to try to find her another home.
She has turned out to be quite a little character, still a little timid but loves playing.
If anyone could give her a home or knows of anyone please let me know as soon as possible or sadly she will have to go to the rescue centre. :(

I know jean its heartbreaking, Lily has been through so much . I am in the Uk at the moment so its difficult to help them from here. She was really happy with her new owners, she is a different dog. All she needs is someone to be kind to her. I hope someone can find it in thier hearts to take her as time is running out for her.

It's such a terrible shame sue, my heart really goes out to lily poor girl she really does not deserve to be treated like this..... Probably worth you asking Andy or Terrie to see if they know of anyone or can help before she has to be taken to the shelter.......I so hope a loving home can be found for the lovely girl. X

it's ok june we are aware of the situation,it is in the Animal Aid section, if we hear of anybody we will let you know but homes are becoming harder to find especially at this time of year.

Unfortunately there was not a happy ending and this little girl is now at the shelter.Her new owners were unable to keep her and so she has moved on again.People who take on animals should have the permissions of landlords and be fully committed to taking on a new family member.

Look on the bright side most towns don't have a shelter :)
we will look out for her each time we go up there ;)

Im so sorry to hear that she has ended up in the shelter. I am still in the UK due to ill health, just wish I could have done more to help poor Lily find a home.When her new owners took her they didnt think there would be a problem as they had 2 dogs when they moved in but one sadly died. I do believe they were commited to keeping her but the landlord said no due to a nieghbour complaining about her. She has gone through so much and was beginning to enjoy her new life with them. They honestly didnt think there would be a problem.

Sue, you can't blame yourself in any way, you did what you thought was going to be the best, it's just really unfortunate for lily poor girl that a nice home could not have been found for her after the landlord decided she could not stop, but as Andy says without the shelter it would have been much worse....she has probably made some friends there and at least you know she is safe and being fed.
