We were watching Globe Trekker last night, it was all about Istanbul.
The presenter was sitting with a lot of cats and said the Prophet Mohammed was fond of cats and gave the advice to Islam to be kind to them.
I looked this up on the internet and there is quite a lot about this on Google. The prophet even had a kitten. I never heard of this before and am surprised as some of the cats around Turkey we have seen are in bad condition.
