Efes if fine if you're a lager drinker, Efes dark is quite honestly unpallatable(spelling ?). I'm all for the "When in Rome"attitude, but heaven knows, a choice would't go amiss.

Just as a matter of interest from anyone who buys the real version in bottles from these pork shops - has any of you noticed any sediment in the bottom of the bottles at all??? I'm looking to harvest any yeast that may be in them.:D

Post by: screamlead on December 21, 2011, 06:11:47 AM: Those pork shops mentioned above have it in stock now - 2 days ago the one by the Otogar in Fethiye had 25 plus cases in and yesterday when i went back in there to get another half dozen bottles there were only around 5 cases left. Possibly some of the bars have been in and snaffed it all.
But bought some for quality control purposes to test against my home made clone version and have to say - i think mines better and it comes in 500ml bottles too.
Anyone bought cases of this stuff? i would be interested in the empty bottles if anyone would save them or we could arrange to drop off and pick up somewhere?

Post by: Jack13 on December 21, 2011, 14:02:25 PM: some bars have fullers london pride. buying for 3 lira in some cases 3.5 lira. selling price lira 6 lira. am i missing something but that is 75% profit or in some cases 100% profit? a little bit of common sense after all it is winter time and not many tourists about.

Post by: lance on December 21, 2011, 16:59:55 PM: I know 2 places run by turkish selling london pride 5tl/and 5 1/2 tl and two bars run by brits no names 6 1/2tl and 7 tl greedy brits taking the wee wee i think .when i queried, it the price has gone up to them what a load of old tosh got no time for them greedy gits.[^]
