Title: Animal Aid meet the Mayor

Animal Aid were requested to meet the Baskan today, he wanted to thank us for all the hard work we had done in his town and wanted to let us know we had his backing for future projects involving animals.

Well deserved recognition for all you do.  It must mean so much more as the rights of animals are not so well protected in Turkey.  Hope he can get the police behind  you for the occasional "escape"

Did you get tea and sticky buns?How about raffle tickets.....did you sell him any?Too good an opportunity to miss I'd think!lol!Well done all of you about time A.A. got the recognition it deserved.

Tea and cake were offered on nice fethiye council plates, no raffle tickets, but an invite to dinner with him has been gratefully accepted.  :)

Well done "A" Team - recognition and backing from the Mayor for your work is well deserved - it would be great if other towns and regions in Turkey would take a leaf out of your book!  Just a few dedicated and caring people can achieve so much - it just needs some thought and a decent amount of energy, which you guys have got.  Carry on the good work.  Everyone is behind you'll

We are not unique in Turkey, there are groups in other areas, even Northern Cyprus, looking after the animals. What is unique is the backing of the Mayor, I believe he is the only one in Turkey that is willing to help where he can. Yesterday we mentioned a couple of projects we offered to fund, he said to let him know what we want to do and he will sort it out the funding.
