Title: Torres for sale..Bargain 20 million?
Post by: Jacqui Harvey on December 14, 2011, 08:42:47 AM
It's rumoured that Torres is going on the market next month for twenty million.  So thirty million loss in a year, it's great when you are backed by a billionaire and can afford to do this sort of thing. :o
Quite of lot of Liverpool supports are talking about taking him back and lining him up with Suarez, however, I cannot see Kenny forgiving and forgetting:(

If anyone wants someone who couldn't score in the Premiership in a month of Sundays, I'm 20 million cheaper!

Joking aside (and it is funny to see someone being lead by money alone fall flat on their face and struggle), he will return to deadly form - it is impossible to think someone as prolific as Torres has "lost it" permanently. The problem is, he left the team that would give him great support and patience to join the very one that give none.

Wrong, Scorcher, best bargain for us Liverpool fans.  Fifty grand for someone whose bum is warming the bench at Chelsea.  I would say it was not one of THEIR better bargains.
Right Scunner, They gave Torres confidence and love at Liverpool, they give him the cold shoulder at Chelsea.

Not really Chelsea have to do what they need to do to stay in contention, which I am sure young Kenny would do if he was in this position. I expect that Torres is just a little weary of all the shopping in Harrods...........!!!

I can't see him going in Jan. I thiok he's a great striker and will start to hit the back of the net soon. Maybe the FA Cup would be a good place to start for him. He just needs his confidence back and with Anelka going surely he is going to get games now.

And 35mil for Andy Carrol seems to be  good business.

Talking of bargains, how about the spending of £35 million of Liverpool's 'Torres Windfall' on a duffer like Carrol ... I think that Newcastle got the best of that particular bargain:D

Not the same at all - one has his career ahead of him and one has probably got it behind him - and not gone, given over a year crammed full of 20 disappointing performances and now on loan...

He has the chance to rediscover his form and return to Liverpool and become an Anfield legend. Won't happen though :D

Strange how different sources tell the same thing differently - BBC red button commentator said that Torres was instrumental in setting up the goal while bbc.co.uk said that the goal came when Torres failed to control the ball and it went away from him  :)
