Drinks out 110tl per month! From what I have seen this is achieved on a daily basis, who arethey trying to kid.

110 lira a month means one Efes a day, assuming you can find someone selling it for 3 lira and 66 kurus a go. :D

Interesting that Mark and very useful, agree that the social costs look at bit low but who cares, that is one expense you can control. If the others are about correct then it is staggeringly cheap to live in Turkey compared with the UK.It would be interesting if we did a similar survey on the forum comparing living costs both here and in Calis. When I get time I will list our monthly costs by way of comparison.

Excluding rent & utilities my outgoings are appx 200tl per week.

I'm a non smoker, lightweight drinker, don't run a car or scooter but enjoy good food & eat out at least 4 main meals a week. I'm sure I could cut my costs quite a bit by cooking at home more but eating out is also my social circle.

My experiment will alter soon, as of Boxing Day my partner is coming out to Calis for a 3 or 5 month stint to see how she likes it, wont be eating out so much but I guess the Efes bill might just increase lol.

Typical man, eat out enjoy an social life, then when the wife/partner/betterhalf arrive tie her to the kitchen sink to cook for you to save you going out!!x :D 8) ;): :)[:o)]

Lol @ Loz, yes it did sound a bit like that but I think I meant I wont have to eat out 4 nights a week to have some social company, make of that what you will lol.
