Hi Everybody, thought,as I've been living here for 5 months now,its about time I gave my finger a bit of exercise and enrolled on this supurb web site!! Is that OK Heidi and Keith?
Ingol Angel,my wife,Pat has been a member for about 12 months now and has been doing all the secretary bit!! Now,I have loads of time on my hands, why not put it to some use and get typing and start learning and hopefully giving out information,if I can be any help at all.
I have met a lot of you out there all ready,I'm pretty good on faces and names, but if I call you "mate",usually means I'm searching my Brain Cell, trying to put a name to you!! Thats the "Mancunian" in me.Talking of Mancunians, and there are a few of us out here, don't mention Utd!! City till I die!!!
Can't wait for "The Forum" to open and good luck to all involved. Its got to be an instant success!!
If anyone is passing, you're more than welcome to drop in (if we're up)!!
Take care everyone, look forward to answering mail and hopefully meeting you all.....eventually,'cos we're going to be here for a long time.

Welcome Johnny!!! Want to be the first! Now you're registered it will give me a bit of free time to lounge in the garden instead of typing all the questions you want answers to!!! xxx
-
Good to hear you have lots of time on your hands now Johnny. I keep asking russ to move over there but hes not budging at the mo, he wants to work a while longer:( you are so lucky, but hopefully soon we can say the same as you. good to hear your lady wife Pat can now do more sunbathing in the garden. After all that is what calis is all about. well done on your move and hope to catch up with you both at the forum bar when we get over in May hopefully.

John, it's so good to know there is at least one other Blue now writing on the Forum:D "City till I Die" eh mate:D
Russ (Mr Sandgrounder)
-
both of you on the same website!!!
Thats spooky :o
Tinx:D
-
Thanks for the response everyone,am still getting used to this thing called a pc!! Will try and write more often.
When I was living in St Annes, the locals there were called "Sandgrowners",think thats right.Any connection Sandgrounders? Lived there for about 12 years. Then moved to Fulwood,Preston.Reason being,I was in the Fire Service for 30 years, and I changed Fire Stations for last 8 years of my career.
For all us City fans,I'd like to inform you, there is quite a fan base over here. That was the one thing that broke my heart,I had finally got my son and myself a Season Ticket, and then a season later we're "upping sticks." The sacrifices we make!!!
Right, nearly that time again,Channel 41-Digiturk is showing the Man Utd vs Blackburn-Come on you Rovers!!!
Bye for now,Johnny
iyi eglencer (have fun)
-
This is real spooky Johnny................I'm an ex fireman as well :o I ended up as a station officer at Southport Fire Station. Southport is where the name Sandgrounder comes from. We can swap Fire fighting stories over a few pints of Efes when we are over in may:D
See you all soon
Russ and Jan

Hi John - about time you let Ingol Angel have a rest from the typing - good to see you on here at last.
-
That would be nice,Russ.A drink in "The Forum" bar, sharing tales of our "heroism" and all the car parks we've helped create!! Southport used to belong to the Old County as I'm sure you remember! I started my career at D60-Stretford,1972,just prior to County changes. There would be a bit of a problem, though in the bar, with other people tripping up over all our hosepipes!!!Should be a few replies to that I think!! LOl:D
Anyway, take Care to you both, look forward to eventually meeting up with you,Johnny.
Ps-Firefighter throughout my career apart from the odd acting up. ;)
-
Thanks for reply Orange, looked at your profile, think I know you,but I think you're older than 13:D Don't go feeling sorry for Ingol Angel, though-She's hard at work at the mo,carrying bundles of wood along the Gunlebashi Rd!! Oh,and looking after the goats LOL ;)
Maybe get together soon at another of Heidi's famous barbecues!!
Take Care,Johnny.

Welcome to the forum John from another true blue, but had to give my season ticket up 1981, just after the tottenham cup final, the first one, was out of work & couldn't afford the replay, by the time i could go again it seemed too expensive cos i had 2 kids by then. Alan
-
John, welcome to the forum.
One question for you: how are you going to reach the keyboard whilst lounging around your pool supping Efes, guess Pat will be reinstated as typist during the summer months!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Alas No2,I remember that match well!! 1st time watching it with a few mates-well under the influence of home brew-nuff said!! I do remember Tommy Hutchingsons goal,or should I say both of them!!! I was lucky enough to get tickets for the replay, and apart from the result, enjoyed a good night out, finally crashing out in Soho Fire Stn........Ah Sweet memories!!
Roll on next week,Liverpool, bound to be a good win for us and King Stuart!!! Aren't we fickle?
Take Care, speak soon, just off to enjoy the sunshine!!! A bit of a gloat there!!!:D
-
Thanks for that C1Pool,or should I say Gary? Hope you enjoyed your stay in UK,look forwards to seeing you very shortly(Hopefully with a Pool Motor and a couple of electricians to fix it up!!:D)
ha ha-still got my sense of humour then!!
Seriously, though, good to see you back, bumped into Julie at Market yesterday, not seen her since before New Year.
Take Care Mate,Love to Cheryl,Johnny 8)

John,
Just happen to have a few big boxes here for you.
It wasn't until i was in the UK that i found out that Stuart "Physco" Pearce was the city boss,
one of the best players the Forest had.
-
Cheers for that Gary,Yes,as you say we've got another Manager at the helm, hopefully we can get a good run together till the end of the season.I think Stuart Pearce is well liked and was being groomed to take over from King Kev!!! And you're quite right,he was a good servant for "The Forest"and a great player. :)
Take Care Mate,John
-
Whoops, sorry about that Gary,I didn't notice that Pat had logged on!!! Needless to say,it was from me!!
Oh and by the way,we are now on Broadband,so it is easy for us to be typing away in between us using the pool...........eventually!!!:D Johnny
-
Johnny, when did Broadband arrive in Calis?
