Yes there is a dolmus to Katranci you have to get there early to get sun loungers it only has a small beach but the water is shallow and there is a sandy beach.

Once the Turkish holidays start it gets absolutely rammed. Some families bring everything including the kitchen sink and stay there for weeks.

Got to agree with Colwyn.A party of us went 2 years ago and we could hardly see any sand for the fag ends that had been left behind.

You'll be OK then. It's well worth a visit.

Schools generally break up mid June & go back early to mid September depending on how the bayram falls

I love Katrançi Koyu outwith the Turkish school holidays.Theres a chap there who runs the restaurant and he does a package of picking you up from your hotel etc, entry into the beach, sun lounger and umbrella, lovely lunch, mini bus back home and all for 30tl!Well worth it.Lovely bay, safe beach for children nice walks around the bay.

We went there last year and it was so packed you couldnt get a table in the restaraunt, we turned round and csrried on to Gunlucklu were it was pretty much empty.

Gunlucklu gets my vote

I usually go to Katranci beach at least once a year and yes, it's pretty well rammed with Turkish tourists. And echoing what KKOB says they not only bring along the kitchen sinks, they also bring along full sized fridge freezers and cookers etc...
Even if you can't get a lounger it's well worth a visit and make sure you take a walk past the water slide around to the other bay, nice view out to sea from there.
I've not been to Gunluklu, that's in the diary for this year  :)
