Just checked out of curiosity, how much the same flights are currently, compared to what we paid when we booked last Septemeber.
Sept £191.95 including baggage
Now £453.96 inc baggage for the exact same flights.
Both of these are complete prices for 2 people
How chuffed am I!!!!!
:D
-
How sad/mad are the rest???????
-
£96 each!Thats a fantastic price,who did you book with?
We've never been able to achieve that price for a return with luggage even booking 12 months in advance.
-
Same here Toky!
Just checked our flights for May which we booked as soon as they were released in July last year (Easyjet from Manchester)
July - £237.00
Now - £488.96
Both for 2 adults and including luggage.
:D:D:D
-
We too booked in July with Easyjet
4 adults 2 children (school hols) £914 TOTAL!
now costing £2300 +
Thats why I'm a great believer in early booking .......
-
Trueblue, Easyjet Edinburgh to Dalaman, for 2 weeks in May, as I said, booked last September.
We also got the Pelin hotel, half board, and transfers for the grand summ of £273.96, giving us a 2 week half board holiday for 2, for under £500. Bargain!
:D
-
That's cheaper than flights for us to go to our apartment :o:(
-
Same here.
We paid £169 each [ seats together/ food/ 20 kg bags] day flights for June,,,, back in July when Monarch put seats for sale .:P
Todays price is £273 each.
£104 each cheaper.
well pleased even though the flight times changed slightly
-
It's crazy Anne. We were lucky.

Wow! That is an amazing saving. I was pleased with ours but that's fantastic especially for school holidays. We've never booked flights so early before but will definitely be doing so again.

Booked our May trip from Gatwick last August with Easyjet.
Including baggage and credit card charge £217 for 2.
Our September 2012 trip is £434.
-
We booked our May 2012 trip last August and paid £367 for 2 people its now £544.... also booked our september 2012 trip back in November and paid £210 for 2 people and now its £466 ....the increase is without the case and credit card charges :o
makes sense to book as early as possible if you can... certainly save a lot of money doing that..
-
Paid £256 for 2 for May last July :D
-
Great price for May Cheers, we saw them at that sort of price but when you have to check holiday dates with work and some people take forever to say that all is ok, the prices rise up !!! i now ask just before they are coming on sale so i am ready for when they are put on line for sale, you learn from experience...
-
we booked with easyjet from stansted 4 people 1st to 11th june £603 including bags in july 2011
cost now is £1800
-
But what is going on?
For the last 3 years we have always booked after February and last year we paid £168 each including baggage. This year the flights are £450 plus......... Hope this is just a 2012 thing and doesn't continue.
-
Crazy isn't it?
:o
-
Forgot to add, when we did finally book with Monarch, we used their website to book the Airport parking and got the following offers:
Birmingham - 3 weeks in August with APH - £77
Luton - 2 weeks in May + Meet & Greet - £43
-
Under normal circumstances we would have already booked our flight ex MCH/DLM for the following Jan (normally 2nd)with TC however even
if we had the confidence to book with them so far ahead, they are not even showing flights for Dec let alone Jan!
-
We did book ahead June 2011 for our July 2012 holiday, but was with Aegean wasnt it so lost those flights. Have only just been able to manage to book new flights for this July with Monarch and they were £371 each in the school hols. It has cost us over double what we had originally paid. These prices take me back to the days when to go for the 6 wks holidays we had to drive from the Midlands to Heathrow, fly to Istanbul with Turkish Airlines change planes and then fly onto Dalaman, good times though all the same.

fly.pgs pegasus are very cheap at moment from manchester, only fly on wednesday, but less than £200(just) for september this year. cannot make my mind up
-
The problem with Pegasus from Manchester is there is only 1 flight per week and if that doesn't go you have lost your holiday
-
A shame Pegasus don't have their Gatwick flights this summer, my own experience with them, far better than any uk carrier.
It also seems to be hit and miss in general if you book early or not, for a the best priced flight.
I booked a TC flight last month for less than it was priced up at 3 months ago.
Have also been checking out a return flight for family to fly over in May, at the moment it is £80 less than it was late last year and again (at the moment) cheaper than I have seen for 2 years.
-
Col do you mean Pegasus are not flying from Gatwick this summer or they just have not released their summer flights yet? if they are no longer flying from Gatwick that is another carrier we will have lost from Gatwick:(
-
Not sure yet, it's around this time of year they are normally showing, starting mid May to Sept. If Pegasus have Manchester flights and they have Bodrum to Gatwick showing, you would have expected the gatwick ones to be on sale, but still time I hope!!!!
Worth signing up for their e offers etc, it's normal then, to know as soon as they come on sale.
I got my dalaman to Istanbul return last Dec and this Jan for just 50tl in total.

Just booked my flight for 7th August, returning to Dalaman the 21st August from Newcastle.219 pounds which is including baggage and charge for using my credit card.Flights later on were over 300pounds one way!!!!!!Cheaper than last year for me.
-
Thank you Col yes you would think if they have released the other routes then Gatwick would also be showing, I will sign up for their e offers, that was a great bargain you got with them last year:D
-
Booked flight on 23 February 2012. Same flight is now advertised at £ 60.00 cheaper.:(
I'm I bitter ? - too bloody right I am. ;)
-
Newcastle flights seem to be the cheapest of any UK airport.
-
Not exactly the same days but last week in May/first week in June from Aberdeen is £ 50.00 cheaper :).
Strange :-\
-
