Hi Everyone.  Thought we'd introduce ourselves - my name is Ginny and my husband is Geoff.  We've been visiting the Fethiye area for the last 8 yrs and have bought a villa between Fethiye and Calis on a small complex of 3 villas.  8) Hopefully in the not too distant future we will be retiring out here. This is a great site which has already provided us with loads of information. Does anyone have info on health insurance for people who retire out here?  Ginny

Hi Ginny and Geoff, welcome to the forum and I like your location , being between Calis and Fethiye. Our house is half way up the road from the new hospital to Gunlukbasi. I am going out for a week tommorow but I hope that Sue and myself will be out in June.

Hi Everyone and thanks for all your 'welcomes'.  We will be coming out to Turkey in August for our friends wedding.  They visitied turkey for the first time last year and decided to get married there this year - they love the place. Hopefully we will be able to manage another week around June as its a long time to wait until August.  I hear its around 20degs there at the moment - can't wait.   Ginny

Couldn't wait till June so just booked a flight for 1 week 2nd - 9th May - good price £110 with Thomson flying from Manchester, daytime flights.  We are staying in Ovacik but intend to visit Calis while we are there.  Can't believe we've been going to the Fethiye region for 8 years but never been to Calis.  You all sound so friendly, we thought we would check it out.

Booked last Monday (11th April) on the internet with thomson.co.uk
£110 or £120 inc. meal. Never found a flight to turkey that cheap before so we just decided to book and go!!  Can't wait.
