Having seen messages of Rabies being found in Oren, I did a search on Google and came up with nothing. Does anyone know of an official source? I am wondering if this story is true, and if it is, is it being hushed up?? :o The message I have seen.....
"Rabies Alert
Rabies was found in a goat and dog bitten by a fox in Ă–ren village near Kemer, and the village is now under quarantine.
Apparently the goat was attacked by the fox which was then chased off by a dog who was also bitten.
Some time later the goat and dog both died, and when the local vet performed autopsies, they showed both had died of rabies.
The vet's conclusion was confirmed by the Veterinary Hospital in Izmir, and authorities began vaccinating animals and residents of the village.
Quarantine signs have been erected at all entrances to the village - the Turkish word for rabies is 'kuduz' - and movement of animals to and from the village is forbidden for six months."

Duh, thanks Loz. I did a search before posting this and nothing came up for this incident!!! Should have used the Turkish word for Rabies. Ah, I see your link. Woo, that's a bit too close for comfort. I hope it does get contained. Cant work out why a CBF search using the word Rabies didnt show up anything, yet there was already a post in the Uzumlu section!!!
