Title: Thanks to Animal Aid for coming to the rescue
Post by: Just Marian on March 12, 2012, 15:08:54 PM
Just wanted to say a huge thanks to Andy & Pauline of Animal Aid and Mustafa the Vet, for all their help.

I came across a young dog in my neighbourhood who had, what appeared to be, the classic signs of Distemper.
The dog was in a very bad state, it could barely stand up.

The dog had gone downhill rapidly and it was not possible to take it anywhere near the shelter due to this being a highly contagious disease.
The owners had not the wherewithall to seek help for the dog.

So Andy kindly came up to the village with Mustafa the vet.
The kindest thing was to put the poor dog to sleep and I am glad it had a peaceful way out of this world instead of suffering anymore.

Thanks to the wonderful Animal Aid Team - what a marvellous job you do - we could not manage without you.

Animal Aid to the rescue again.....how amazing they are......what a terrible shame for the poor dog...sometimes unfortunately it's the kindest thing.....

I am pretty  sure most  people will not know the heartbreak the Animal Aid guys have to endure week after week...good job there are also  some good stories with nice endings......makes it all worthwhile.
Xx

Well said June.  I admire them for what they achieve and I have often thought about the courage they must have.  Thank you, thank you.

And Marian too, -thanks for helping that poor dog to find a better place...
