I can't ever remember booking with Monarch, the booking system is nothing like FTC.
Question for members who have booked with them previously.
When I have booked with Thomascook in the past I have had to print off reams of paperwork, with Monarch it is just the webpage with the member booking number, is this all I have to print? nothing more?

You need to check in on line and print your boarding pass I think. At this point you can change seats or add baggage and you also need to add your Advance passenger Info.
Hope this helps.

We've flown with Monarch a couple of times and they were very good. :)
Flying with them later in the year out of Birmingham too, so hope they keep up their good standards! :D

We have flown with Monarch in the past but on a package holiday package, this is the first time booking flights only with Monarch on a DIY.
Stoop the bumpf on the FAQ is the same crud as the FTC, but with Thomascook you print out your Tickets bearing both names and details, with Monarch I print off the details as stated and shows flight code and 2 named adults and our contact details (I know my contact details) printed 2 pages, with FTC at least 6-8 pages, we had more details with Pegasus than Monarch.
Another ponder, do we take hold luggage, we can take 10kg free each for hand luggage. :)
I will try their telephone number again later and see if this is really all I need.
I have heard of traveling light......

Have you checked in on line and put you APD in?

Same as FTC, you can not check in online unless you are flying in the next 18days. check in online is useless, you still have to queue at the desk get weighed in and boarding pas; and API they have told me makes no difference. usually wanted or needed on longer flights.
EDIT
Just confirmed, those 2 pages is the total of what is required, including of course passports, plus the 2 £10 entry bribe.

We always try to check in online and print boarding passes. Doesn't save much time I agree - unless you fly long haul with the likes of Emirates - but at least we know the seats are ours ;-)

Just out of interest why? I print off 2 pages, that covers everything I've ever needed which is the flight details & the scannable bar-code (which I've never needed!).

Because I usually get the person wearing the "Jobs Worth" cap that day ;) Also, try going to Dalaman with page 6 missing because it has either one line or is blank with just the page number, then sit back and watch the Turks running around like headless chickens!
Last year I had an empty suit case to take back to the UK, I held up the check in desk for at least an hour, then told them to bin the case as they wanted to charge me £20+ told them I could buy a new one in the UK for the same price less the hassle for our next trip, another panic by the Turks, eventually they let me take my empty case telling me not to do it again.
Moral of this tale is; do not stand in the same queue as me: :) ;)[:o)]

Once did a flight to Dublin with Ryanair and got NO paperwork but it was last minute. Went to Liverpool Airport the day before and I was told 'We don't do paperwork just turn up with your passport'. Fine no problem at Liverpool - try booking in at Dublin to do the same thing?? OOH ERRR! :D:D
