Title: Kipa bus - yok!
Post by: hotlips on March 20, 2012, 06:26:10 AM
Discovered today that the Kipa bus from Calis will stop operating on 31st March.

I guess it is because they feel there aren't enough people taking the bus to make it worthwhile. It's a shame because it was very useful to me and I would imagine that as more owners come out in the season it would have been very busy.

Please can you mention to the desk at Kipa if you are not happy with them withdrawing the service, you never know they may decide to keep it going for a little longer.

Its probably not used much, because a lot of people i know think kipa is nothing like tesco,s some good promotions but more pricey than migros and tansas and a lot of people have stoped using it.

Strange I did a compare on my main shopping trolley products between Migros and Kipa and Kipa won on both price and choice in over 90% of items. When at the customer desk asking for the bus service to stay ask them to restock their salt & vinegar crisps too  ;) :)

I think Kipa is definitely cheaper than Migros and Tansas.
I feel sorry for the drivers, always smart, friendly and reliable.
One even offered us a lift when we hadn't even been to Kipa.
But often only 2 or 3 people on the bus and did wonder how it was viable.
I also feel partly responsible as we just bought a car and don't use the Kipa bus anymore!

Calis will be getting its own Kipa in June as the building signs for it have gone up on the waste ground opposite the Court House on the Sunday Market road.
