The weather up here is warmer than normal at the moment.I am hoping that it might be a repeat of a particularly hot and dry one in 1957??I can remember the sun shining all day long for months. All I used to wear was a pair of shorts. However, come lunchtime and in the afternoon, you had to run fast over the pavement and head for the nearest stretch of grass,or you burned the soles of your feet.Happy days 8) 8)

16degs in West of Scotland today and wall to wall sunshine. Our sea front is bustling with visitors and the ice cream shops are doing a roaring trade. Feels more like a May bank holiday than late March! I do gasp at the shorts and vest top brigade tho' and that's just the guys LOL

It was hot enough to lie out on a sunbed in the garden, reading and snoozing all afternoon! (I was practicing for my holiday to Calis in only THIRTEEN days time - woo hoo!! :D )

21degs here on the river Clyde today and it was lovely being able to sit in the garden. However, my ears nearly popped when Sean, our weather guy said tonight that it could snow in Shetlands by end of the week!!!!!
The old saying goes "never cast a cloot til May is oot", may well ring true with the Shetlanders.

Yes Martha 'tis a small world.Think I might prefer Dingwall to C'lang or Carmyle.Used to work in the polis in Baillieston, which covered Carmyle at the time.
