Title: Turkcell 3G Dongle

Does anyone know the present cost for pay as you go Turkcel 3G Dongle, paid monthly last year but seem to remember that you could have a better deal for 3 months. Returning to Turkey next week for 6 months. Thanks

I pay 39 TL for 4GB on PAYG monthly - you have to use within 30 days and lose anything you have left at that point which gives you 133MB a day or about 4 hrs browsing as long as you are not streaming tv / video's etc.

I believe there is an offer on if you signed for 12 months you could get the first 3 at 29 TL and then 9 at 39 TL but I personally don't like contracts.

With PAYG you can go up to 6 months without topping up but then you would need to buy a new SIM if you left it longer.

Or you can buy 4 gb for 3 months at a cost of 59 TL.  If you use the 4 gb  before the end of the 3 months you can top up again for 1 month or 3 months whatever suits.

For 1Gb it's 29TL, 4Gb = 39TL, this is for 1 month usage, I think it's more if you want it over 3 months. I do know that 10Gb is 79TL for 3 months usage. As a yabanci, I doubt you will be able to get a contract, we tried, without success.

I didn't know you had to buy a new simcard after 6 months without use.
i am coming out next week but haven't been for 7 months due to illness and people dying!
How much is a sim card again?

Take it into the shop and ask them to add credit.
It will not allow you if it has gone out of date.
You may be lucky.

I managed to renew my dongle no problem after not using it for 7 months
