Title: What Summer was the best?

As Summer is approaching(hope we didn't have ours in March),what year do you remember as the best Summer?I remember two.1950 something,when we ran about wearing only shorts.You had to run quickly so that you didn't burn the soles of your feet.Next one was 1976 I think,and we had a hosepipe ban,yes,In South Lanarkshire we had a hosepipe ban.Looks like we might get another ban as it hasn't rained here much over the winter and spring.

Last year was good, and the year before that and the year before :-)

i can remember 1976. great weather even in the night. went on for ages. no cardi's at night it was too hot

1976 was great, but my sister got married on the 25th September and the weather broke the night before, we had a massive storm and it rained all day on the 25th!!

1976 ,weather brill, and the year "I got me moped out on the road" :D
