Has anyone any news on the Mimosa?? Last I heard on here things were looking deserted! Thanks.

Uzzy that used to have Mimosa is now in Karam (the hotel next to the water taxis). Mimosa has had a refit and is under new management, there is a bar there and sunbeds etc and it's open, but no info yet as to the new name, prices etc.

Thanks Philrose, I hope they are going to keep the big comfy cushions, they were ideal for my afternoon snooze, ha ha.

The new name is Caretta, still owned by the same person but has had a complete refit. Cushions still there, prices comparative with other places near by. Same Manager as last year.

Hellzbellz you are very welcome here on CBF but you will not be able to just turn up and trawl all the Mimosa (now Caretta) topics and reactivate them for the good of you/them. Please enjoy your visits here but do not be tempted to become a one member advertising machine for your place/favourite place. It has bee tried many times before.

My appologies Scunner, that wasnt my intention, I was answering questions asked. have removed the name from my profile location as I do want this forum to answer many of the questions I need answers to. Trying to get things sorted is like a minefield to me at present

Only just seen this! Had no idea that Uzzi had the Kerim! Thats a perfect place to catch people coming in or out of Calis! Thank goodness for the bridge behind the Mutlu- lol!

You would think that Maria but I am almost disappointed to report that when we visited in May we passed the Kerim many times and whilst always friendly and courteous, Uzzi made little effort to try and get us in. It may be he has finally given up on us but to be honest I didn't see him doing it much with anyone! A complete waste of time buying the joke shop all in one false glasses/nose/moustache disguise all in all.

when we was in Calis a few weeks ago Uzzi did come up as usual and shake our hands etc, but then went on to tell us how he got moved out very quickly and by whom at Mimosa, he made no effort to get us into his new place .... so we never bothered as it has never been much good  :o
