Title: A Quick Game - To Make a Few Quid
Post by: Scunner on May 15, 2012, 23:58:36 PM: Many people will know that I love my stats - so here is a challenge.

CBF stats show many things - one is the individual words people search for at Google/Yahoo etc that ends up in CBF being the result they click and come here. The most popular words are obvious:

1. Calis
2. Beach
3. Forum
4. Turkey
5. Fethiye

But recently the next one is quite a surprise. If anyone can guess this month's number 6 I'll stick a tenner in to the Bozalan pot. BUT: It will cost you a fiver to play ;)

One clue: It is NOT Bozalan ;)

Please don't make me look foolish and end up with nobody playing - we still have desks to pay for!

Answer:

The sixth most searched for word at Google etc that resulted in the search engine sending the searcher to CBF, after 1. Calis 2. Beach 3. Forum 4. Turkey 5. Fethiye - is actually a word that hadn't even appeared ever on CBF until 6 months ago...

As in Jiva Resort Hotel - a LOT of people looking for info. You'd never have got that would you, my tenner was safe 8)

Post by: Scunner on May 16, 2012, 20:48:17 PM: You did, I smiled when I saw that. It is extraordinary though - the top 10 "searched for" words never changes on CBF really - now we have a hotel more searched for than the word "hotel" - of which there are hundreds. Serious stuff really.
