Is it much of a hold up getting the visas at Dalaman and is there a quicker way ie. Do the airlines give you the paperwork to fill in before landing, just curious as this is my first time to Turkey!

All depends where you are in the queue and how many staff they have on at the time. You get your visa sticker at one counter then queue at another to get it stamped. You need an English 10 pound note to pay for your visa. You dont get any paper work on the plane for this.If you need an airport trolley for your luggage you need a pound coin.

It adds around 5 minutes to your arrival process - then you will end up with everyone else at the carousel anyway so it doesn't actually lose you any time at all. There is no paperwork whatsoever, they just want the important paper - your tenner :)

When we went in April there was a massive visa queue but I think this was due to the fact that we were on one of the first flights of the year (and I think there were around two or three that arrived quite close together) as the visa rules had changed in Feb everyone was buying visa's but it looked far better when we went last month :)If you have a trolley for your luggage and hand over £1 the £1 is non refundable ;)

Below is a very useful link for calculating when your current Visa will expire.
