Title: Maria's Restaurant
Post by: Jeannie on July 03, 2012, 16:52:28 PM
Went to Maria's Restaurant a few times although we had a few meals which were excellent we called in for drinks quite a few times good food good service helpful staff and if you like spirits with mixers you always get a bottle with your vodka - whisky etc instead of out of the pump which makes a difference!!

Went to Maria's for the 1st time last year, had a lovely Sunday roast dinner with fresh veg, proper yorkshire puddings & bisto! Not what we'd usually go for while on holiday but it was our last day and was flying home late that evening, we wanted something to see us through until we ate again at home the following morning and it certainly did the trick.  Can't see us going 4 weeks without a traditional English dinner this year so will be paying them a visit again!

Agreed Jeannie , one thing I miss in Calis is fresh, fizzy tonic in my gin.  I think a lot of places use the large bottles and they very soon go flat.  I get fed up of asking for it to be changed so I just put up.  Maria's food is very good too and the kitchen is spotless.

Excellent staff. Went there once but it seemed expensive compared to other cafe's and restraunts so never went back.

Food good. Main meal portions too big - expensive.  Cut portions and price.
