hi there, might seem a silly question but new to this. can anyone tell me do you check in both outward and inward flights b4 you travel? can do it from this wednesday. cheers donnie.
-
Depends on the airline but I can only do online check in for any onward flights or return flights that are same day return. Cant do online check in if your return is say a week or so after your first flight.
-
You normally check in for the flight you are about to take and then you have to check in again just before your return flight date
-
There is no online check in for easyjet at Dalaman so everyone queues up in traditional fashion, even hand luggage only passengers.
-
As far as I know only Ryanair let you check in both flights 15 days before you travel .. and they don't fly to Turkey (yet). However you can only check in on line unless you want to pay another £60 to check in at the airport.
Having said that I don't recall having to check in again the last time we flew with FTC. We flew from the UK having checked in on line and then just turned up at Dalaman after ringing to check the flight was still on time before we left for the airport. Not sure if any of them still allow you to choose one or both options.

Dont know about easyjet but with THY and BA, return flights can only be checked in online if returning the same day of your departure flight.
-
There doesn't appear to be any facility for confirming your return flight with Thos. Cook any more we just turned up at airport.
-
With Jet2 you check in from 28 days before the flight and you check in for outbound and inbound together then print off your boarding cards (again for outbound and inbound). Worked very well for us !

I confirmed outward and inward flights before going out to Turkey this was with Monarch and printed boarding passes for return trip...no problems .
-
Never checked in on-line with easyjet, just turned up at airport both ways and never had a problem..
-
hi all, many thanks for your replies, its jet2 we are going with. cheers jwood! :) :)

I assume your holiday duration was less than 18 days as that's the time limit Monarch have for on line check ins. I'm checked in and have a seat number for my return flight but I as I'm here for 22 days I cannot get an on line boarding pass until I'm within the 18 days. I currently have two laptops here but no printer.

Flying with Monarch in Sept so I can hopefully;y do both check ins before we leave.

Yeah Stuart, you can do both check ins and print off your boarding passes if yo are going for 18 days or less.

Hope this is right to resserect this topic...
We have had an email from Easyjet today saying we can check in online for our flight next month...we have never checked in this way before...
Can any members who have done it recommend it? does your luggage arrive ok and is it free?
I must admit not having to que up for check in does seem rather a blissfull idea :)
Thanks for any help...

Check in online works really well if you are hand baggage only. If you have suitcases, certainly at Edinburgh the Easyjet baggage drop can be bloody horrendous.
-
Oh thanks Keith we would be Gatwick but think I will stick to queing up....

Ken
Same here but I just save the page to a memory stick and then get it printed in town for 50 kuros.

Thanks for that Steve, I'll give it a go ;)
