Title: booking last minute flight from Dalaman to Manchester

As usual I have left booking until last minute.
I can get us all out there for £130 each but return prices end August/early Sept are scandalously high at £280 each at the moment.
I'm thinking to just book one way for now and look for better deals once we are out there. I have to be back in UK for 5th Sept without fail and there are 4 of us.
I'm hoping that after the 21st August the prices will drop as the airlines will have an idea of how many spaces they have once people have come out.
Will the prices drop? Will there be any seats available at all?
Has anyone done this before on here?

I did it once in October, and struggled to get a flight back to Manchester and ended up flying into Leeds, and I was by myself. Hopefully you will have better luck than me.

I've done it a few times, some more easily than others. If you're prepared to take alternative airports it is often easier

Hi Keng38 it was about 3 years ago, before Aegean went bust as I returned with them

Of course rhetorical. But if you actually do know, can you also give me next weeks lottery numbers too?
If I didn't have to be back early september I wouldn't actually be too bothered. Even if the kids missed a few days at school.

I was going to do it once Keng38 I think it was around 5 years ago I had a return booked to Gatwick and wanted to stay longer but the prices were ridiculous so did not bother. :(

Done it four times ,three good results ,one lousy.
