Title: My Messages
Post by: Ian on July 30, 2012, 21:27:21 PM
Probably already covered but useful as a reminder - has everyone got familiar with the My Messages facility?

I sent a Private Message to Graham (always very helpful) about aircon repairs.
My wife kept saying "are you getting anyone around to look at it?" - "I have sent someone on CBF a Private Message - not doing anything till I get their reply" I said.

So I kept checking my Inbox on my registered e-mail address - no messages - "not like Graham" I said - as it got hotter and hotter   :)

(Ps Got the electric bill today - glad we had at least one aircon unit out of action for a week!!!)

Then I saw Messages (2) and thought - aye aye - what's that then !!!

So Graham had replied to my first message and my second message so I apologised and thought it was probably just me - BUT this evening I got a message from a seasoned Member apologising for not noticing the message I had sent to him a couple of weeks ago - so it isn't just me - yesssss  ;D

It is a setting that you need to change in your profile.

Click on the profile link on the top menu bar and then find personal settings.

From here you can change your account to receive personal messages also by email and also as popup messages when on the forum.
