Jan ... you could contact David Groom ... he is one of the English/ Turkish folk dancers ... he is a lay preacher and has performed many wedding and , sadly. funerals here in the Fethiye area. I dont have his number but i do know he is on FB, maybe one of the forum members could help out here with his details.

Do you have any idea of when the funeral will be? We are over on Friday and would be honoured to attend, but I'm assuming it will be before that as is the Turkish way.

There is a lay preacher Mike of the Fethiye Community Church and while I do have his number (0538 324 6558) I am sure he is in the States at the moment. I have rung him anyway and left a message and if I hear back from him I will let you know.

Sorry I see you have discovered this already.

I would recommend David Groom who has done many funerals and comes from Ovacik.
You can contact him on 0537 985 9021.  He is a lay preacher and would help if he can.
