Title: Hello from Shaka
Post by: Shaka on September 05, 2012, 18:41:39 PM
Hi my name is Osman, I own Buzz Bar and Mozaik apartments in Oludeniz.

May 2012, I opened up a new Cafe/Restaurant along Fethiye harbour called Shaka .
It is already popular with a lot of members from this site. Every now and then we have activities in Shaka like live music, art exhibitions and concerts.

We also have 2 minibuses (for winter) with professional drivers where we do pick up for our foreign guests. We will offer free pick ups for 4 from Calis, Fethiye, Ovacik and Hisaranou.

Many thanks to Scunner for giving me permission to post when we have special evenings or events. We will be posting them on here for members to see.

Firo will also be helping me to answer any questions that  members may have.

To book tables or your free transfers please call 0252 6148842

I look forward to meeting lot's of you soon.

We came along twice in a week and it was lovely. Food was different to many other places and the dessert list was great.

Music was great, playing nicely in the background and not intrusive and the setting by the waterside was great.

Look forward to returning next year!

We come along 3 weeks ago, we had a lovely evening, food was great and for the first time ever we had a dessert, even my husband who would never normally have one, and really enjoyed it, live music on the might too. We would recommend you to anyone.

Hi Osman,

Welcome here.

I'm looking forward to the winter since we don't have time to visit Shaka at the moment.
Fortunately we pop into Buzz now and then for a delicious burger or your great seafood pasta!!

Shaka is really a style location but I had a bad drink today! Osman you should check that. This evening I had an Ice Cafe, what I received was a glas with coffee and sweet cream. What is if the customer does not like cream and sugar? Cream has nothing to do with coffee. Just milk foam is ok if you do like latte machiato and stuff. But not cream! Ice Cafe is only coffee with ice cubes, nothing else, and it has to be cheap!

Well all the best iced coffees we've had are tall black coffee with a mix of ice and balls of icecream (Choc & Vanilla) all topped off with cream, yummy! Looking forward to coming to the restaurant very soon!

Khan.Cross,
I hope you told the staff that it was not what you wanted or expected and they would have remade it as you wanted it?
The staff cannot rectify the problem if it is not brought to their attention at the time.
On a personal note I like my iced coffee with black coffee, ice cream, sugar and extra cream on top...yummy :D

We are on the Kordon (Fethiye Prom) heading towards Calis. Past Bogazici and Layla restaurants and just before the turn on the right for the Tax Offices.
Hope that helps you and we look forward to serving you soon. :D

Absolutely loved it! The best cocktails around, beautiful setting, wonderful food, attentive (but not in your face) staff. Our new number 1! I have to recommend the tempura vegetables and sea food - fantastic.

Thank you Selda - see you in October   ;) (Nicholas Gate)

we went and i found it mediocre
not much choice on the chix menu i and my friend ended up having chix burgers
the boys had beef and chix in ginger sauce which they said was nice
cocktails not much choice not like the buzz bar in olu deniz,i asked for a pina colada sorry they only had  frozen, which was ok but gave me one of those cold headaches
the mojitos did not taste good  and the peach bellini was ok
i will go to mc donalds next time and have a chix burger there
and the bus stop for the cocktails which are cheaper and there is a bigger choice

Is chicken called chix in Merseyside then? I had no idea what you were talking about for a minute.

We recommended Shaka to some friends on Violet when we were over.
They all enjoyed their meals, saying the food and service were outstanding and that it's now on their list of places to eat on every visit.
I have to agree with them,  I loved it.

Get your tin hat on.

We found the peach bellini's and the razzmoplitans lovely - and much stronger than Buzz Bar. We went with three different couples over the last couple of weeks and everyone was very impressed vowing to return. Obviously the setting but also with the different menu (Tempura veg and sea food and beef ribs for example) excellently presented. Lovely loos too  ;)

No tin hat required - everyone is looking for something different and no establishment will please all the people all the time. We went to another of our previous favourites twice, Yengec in Ovacik, and were surprisingly underwhelmed yet everyone else is still raving about it  ???

We went to Shakra and a lovely time....gin and tonics were huge and a nice strength not just tonic! We had calamari and garlic prawns to start both very good. Then BBQ beef ribs with a red wine reduction and potato bake ( dauphinois ) they were lovely and tender and made a nice change. Live music and a nice atmosphere throroughly recommend.

Yes indeed, well said - and all opinions are welcome on all restaurants. I read glowing reports on places I thought were poor, and very negative reviews on places I loved. That is what it is all about here. As for Shaka, I have yet to try it and hope to early next year and very much looking forward to it too.

Certainly loads better "Veranda" which is next door to Shakra.....poor service, choice and food when it finally arrived. Lovely looking restaurant but won't go back.
