Hi All,
Not sure if this is the right section to put this, but wanted to share our experience with you all.
As some of you have read our post about missing our flight (holidays and nice people) here is the longer version. Like many before us we misread the flight times and realised our mistake on the day we should have been back in the uk!! panic set in and we spent 2 days trying to get a flight back to the uk,having tried online to book a flight with Monarch (no seats available) and Easy Jet (no seats available) we then phoned Monarch to see if we could fare better,yes they had a flight so we gave our details and card number etc to be told the card had been declined,more panic so rang the bank in the uk who confirmed they had put a stop on the card!!! after passing the security checks and another phone call to Monarch we finally booked our flights.Great we thought at least we can get home albeit a week later,so we made the most of the time left and left Dalaman on 8th august. After a long night we arrived home had a few hours sleep and headed to the bank where we had a big shock,
Easy Jet had taken money out of our account to the tune of around £1800 inspite the fact that their website clearly stated NO SEATS AVAILABLE. The bank said its not their fault!!!! Easy Jet said they sent us a confirmation email (they didnt) how could they when their website said no flights available.After several phone calls to Easy Jet and emails to them confirming our flight details with Monarch we were told we would get a full refund.......we are still waiting. Please Please check your flight details and dont make the same mistake we did.
Incidently NO PAYMENT was taken from Monarch when we tried to book online.

How did they get your bank details, if there was no seats available surely you never got as far as the page where you would input your bank details. Have you flown with them before and saved your card details on their website.

So you input your card details into a website that’s charging you £900 each for a one way flight

Never flown with them,filled out details as requested and when pressed continue AFTER doing this it came up no seats available,the question is why ask for the card details and then tell you no seats available,something not quite right there.Incidently there were 4 of us flying not 2.

Maybe there were seats available but while putting in card details someone else completed a transaction before him taking the only seats available?
