What are your happy memories and bad memories from your school days?
I ask this as we were sat down the other night discussing our next party and decided on a Back to School theme, which got us all thinking about things we used to do and we could do on the night ;D and things we couldn't do ;D School uniforms, school dinners, playground antics, teachers, football in the playground while the girls were doing handstands ;D, hopscotch, kiss chase :P sports days....
:D >:( ;)

Turning up at school with no trousers or pants on, being chased by a gang of big boys but the ground is muddy, so heavy I can't run, I can't get away from them and they are catching up fast.
Oh hang on , perhaps that was a dream.
-
Smoking in the toilets, swapping packed lunches, writing graffiti on the blackboard.....oh wait, that was just me

There must be some bike shed stories :o and I think it's nearly time to get your conkers out ;D
I wonder how many prefects we have on here??? and who got the most house points??? ;D

Just two memories from sooooo many .......That `gut` feeling when I was sent out of class and had to stand in the corridor.. in fear of our headmaster patrolling the place... if I was seen ( which was many occasions ) it was straight to his study for 3/4 whacks on the ass and it hurt !! yep it was back in the old `corporal punishment days`
But then there was the other `gut` feeling of a different kind :-) when during dinnertimes me and my mates ( was all boys school ) cycled a couple of miles down the road to peer through the school railings at the `all girls school ` corrrr what memories for a young 14 year old boy they were :-)

When in the Sixth Form the most important information was in which pubs the staff were drinking at lunchtime - so we could find somewhere else. Fortunately, since our school was right in the centre of Bristol, there was plenty of choice.
-
I remember getting the slipper and the cane for bunking off.
Doing lines for constantly forgetting my PE Kit.
Smoking behind the bike sheds.
Good times with friends not seen for 30 years
-
We just missed the cane years, the ruler was the maximum punishment in our school.
Anyone remember playing pirates in the gym in PE?
-
Class really wound a lady teacher up for a full lesson ,she was very nearly crying, little did we know that one of the strictest teachers in the school had been in the store room all the time ,what a bo******ng we all got.
As Scunner mentioned the ruler , was walking with my hands in my pockets and this git of a teacher smacked my wrist with the edge of a bloody 3 ft rule ,happy days :)
-
yep we played pirates in the gym!
-
I remember we used to play British Bulldogs in our primary school
-
Do you remember what the prime place was to get to in your gym when playing pirates? In ours the one who climbed the middle rope then hoisted up the adjacent ones was King :D
-
Getting nearly pelted with a blackboard duster for being sarcastic to a sadistic, Geograhy teaching nun, only I ducked and it hit the girl sitting in the desk behind me. So I then got called out and had to stand in the rubbish bin which had all the sour milk silver bottle tops in it from the early morning break time.
;)

what did you have in the Tuck Shop? I remember those crappy Potato Puffs in the red bag
-
Potato crisps with the little blue bags of salt in them, Whoppers, Caramac bars, Black Jacks, MB bars, Love hearts, Spangles
:)
-
Blimey that was a posh school ;D
-
Ours was posh, we could buy Fruit Salads, one of our five a day
-
Oh, and those bags like crisp packets, of fish & chips :)
-
Ah, that's the other ones I was trying to think of as well as the black jacks.
:)
-
I led a deprived childhood - we never had a tuck shop :( :(
-
And Snaps (they melt in your mouth) tomato sauce flavour
And Cresta (it's frothy man) with polar bear wearing sunglasses. Blackcurrant was the best, and it was indeed frothier than all the other drinks :)
-
Our school was so posh that the gym was called james

Bazooka Joe's Bubble gum. When you unwraped the big pik blob of gum, it wrapped again in a "transfer" which we used to pretend were tattoos
-

Jublees, Sherbert Fountains, Spanish Gold (sweet stringy joking tobacco strands), happy days !. :)

The excitement levels as the six weeks summer holidays approached ! :)
-
I wore a school cap on the first day :-[
-
I still get the giggles when I think of those times where you really, really need to laugh out loud when you can't - having to screw your lips up in your hands to stop yourself !!!
We had a maths teacher with a rather large derriere who insisted on wearing tight crimplene skirts - she was a real nasty piece and one day whilst bending over to help a pupil, another drew a face in black felt tip on her bright pink skirted ass.......a wicked thing to do but we honestly choked with laughter it was so awful but hilarious!
-
Our gym teacher had the sole of a plimsole which had the shape of a star cut out of it. When you got that on your behind you definitely did see stars!! Oh the good ole days.

I think I spent most of my time in bumper boots(baseball boots today) but I never did get a pair of pathfinders :(
-
The great footwear I never got was the Tuf shoes with the compass in the heel :(
-
Pathfinders had the compass in the heel and the paw prints of all the animals on the tread :)
-
you could have compass and sat nav Keith, youd still get lost, i mean you ended up in Scotland didnt you? ;) :) :)
-
Extradited is the word you are looking for Des! ;D
-
Who had a "Johnny Seven" (one man army) gun ???? :)
-
No Johnny Seven :(. I think the shoes were Clarks wayfinders. And Bumper boots are similar to Vans nowadays which are silly money .What about lucky bags ? can't remember what was in them though. :). Penny Arrers ,(sorry ,Penny Arrows ) long strip of toffee, banana flavour , nice :)
-
