Seboni, dont worry you will have a great time. I am also not a chav and have no tatoo's and I go to Hisaronu and think its great. I've only been going for 10 years though.
I bet if you line 10 people up in Calis there will be a couple of tatood amongst them.

Yes, Bewva's quite 'normal' really.  I even named my cat after him.  ;D

There are so many dolmus to anywhere you want to go.  Even if you don't like Hisaronu you can get everywhere cheaply and easily on the dolmus.  I'd recommend Fethiye, Calis Beach (get the water taxi over to Calis from Fethiye, lovely) and Saklikent Gorge.  If you like history and ruins there's also Tlos and Kayakoy village both of which are relatively close to you.  Fab places.

I agree with Anne.  You won't be disappointed.  And the people are just lovely.

Have fun!

Hi Seboni - you havent made a mistake booking Hisaronu dont worry. As has been said we aren't chavs up there! The comments you read are natural (?) rivalry between neighbours. Hisaronu has excellent restaurants, is surrounded by wonderful mountain scenery, close to beautiful beaches, is convenient for Kaya and Fethiye and I havent met anyone who stays there that doesn't love it. Please let us know what you think on your return.

Hi, welcome to the forum. In terms of His being chav, the key thing is that if you are adventurous, this will not be an issue. Just get on a Dolmus and explore, we have had a place in Ovacik which has a similar reputation but we love the place as it is about the Turkish people and their really warm welcome. We are still exploring the area after 4 years and there is still lots to see and experience.

Have a great time.
