Title: Calis Beach to Uzumlu
Post by: Kevin Sowten on September 25, 2012, 12:33:28 PM
As regular walkers around the Fethiye area we would be interested in walking from Calis to Uzumlu on our next visit (dolmus back methinks !!!) Feedback from other fools such as us would be useful - Thanks, Kevin

It's an uphill grind - take the dolmus to the village and walk locally.

Not sure what the pathways are like, but it's the main Denizli road, so gets quite busy

There is a very nice trail away from the main Denizli road that takes you to Uzumlu. You can walk from Calis to Gunlukbasi and then up as far as the animal sanctuary on the Uzumlu road. You then turn right passed  the go cart track and head for the village of Yeni Evler. You will come to the local school in the village. Keeping this to your left you will drop down a small road and then come to a t junction. Take the left hand turn and you will come across the trail that takes you to Uzumlu. Its quite a steep walk in places but should take no more than 4 hours from Calis. Spectacular views make it worthwhile.
