Yesterday, friend had walet stolen whilst at Friday market....beware.

We warned all our friends about pickpockets in the Markets. However, some people are so careless. We where in Mavi (the clothes shop) in Fethiye and noticed a camera and a handbag lying in a display of clothes on a counter. I called over the assistant who was shocked and told me the lady was in the changing room (opposite side of the room to where her property was) trying on clothes!!! The Assistant took the bag and camera and knocked on the door and handed them in.
Some people must have there "holiday heads" on in Fethiye. :o

So what and where is the Friday market ?
Have been to the Sunday and Tuesday markets but didn't know about Friday !

It's where the Tuesday market is and it's all locally grown fruit, vegetables, olive oil etc

I bet there are still plenty of wallets hanging out of back pockets too.

Was there at the time, walet was inside a pocket in leg of shorts that was velcro'd down, market was not at all busy..seems that more 'skill' was required than just plucking from rear pocket. Hence the warning.
