Can thoroughly recommend the food at Da Vinci.  We ate there with friends earlier in the week and it is really good authentic Italian food - beautiful home made pasta and delicious thin crust  pizza and really good value too.  We had the ravioli and fettucine specials and Tiramisu  but the rest of the menu looks just as delicious. The staff are really nice and attentive too.

We also held the 3C's Super Quiz there last night and again everything was great and the restaurant even provided every table with a free pizza - delicious!!!!

We understand they will be staying open for the winter so thats our Italian sorted!

Thanks Da Vinci   :)

Good to know they are getting their act together as they seemed to be getting a few negative revues lately. We ate there when they first opened and although it was a limted menu the food was delicious, so if they are staying open for the Winter we will definatley be going back.....

what a shame we never ate there this Summer, even though the other half had a lovely Italian conversation with the woman as we were passing, (his Mother was Italian). It was always empty which put us off, but just goes to show, you can never judge a book by it's cover. If they are still up and running next Summer we will definately pay them a visit.

We tried it last week, the food was definitely authentic Italian, I had fresh ravioli with ricotta and spinach. Lovely big ravioli not the tiny squares you can buy in supermarkets. We also shared beef carpaccio and a marinated salmon salad, (least favourite, far too much lettuce and too little salmon) It was quiet when we arrived but almost full when we left. The owners family had a big table together in the corner. loved the Italian accents and mannerisms! One of the best meals of the trip.

Just got home from an evening at Da Vinci's. After taking our drinks order they served us Brusetta and a garlic bread (pizza style) Free! I ordered the shrimp and courgette pasta.... absolutely gorgeous! and fresh pasta. My friend had fettuccine bolognese, again lush and made with fresh pasta. The boys had pizzas, good size and toppings to their taste. After eating at other 'Italians' in Calis over the years, I can honestly say that this is the first place that advertises homemade, fresh pasta.... and it is!

I went there and couldn't understand a word on the menu. It must have been Da Vinci code.

We had lunch there yesterday.  I had the Spinach and Ricotta Ravioli, it was lovely.  Fi and her mum had pizza which was lovely too (I sneaked a piece)  Will be going there often me thinks.

No Da Vincis is where Bostans used to be. Bostans is opposite Alo 24 near the law courts and the new kipa.

Bostans is opposite the new Kipa, from Calis take the Fethiye road as far as the hospital/law courts, turn left at the junction and its just behind there.
Your tickets are saved for you Paul.

So, that's 5 of us just back from pasta night, 3 different pastas served; seafood spaghetti - yummy, ravioli in meat sauce - very yummy & pesto tagliatelli - not entirely to my taste, but one of us gorged herself, so can't have been too shabby! All in all, a good night & if you're open through the winter you have every chance of seeing us all again.

Was it a help yourself evening or were you given a dish of food?  Was there a choice of salads/veg?  I just find it hard to understand the "free food, pay for your drink" thing...for sure some people would have just drunk water so what was the advantage to the restaurant???  confused@dot.com :-\

The pasta was served to the table - and no there was no freeby salads etc.
Advantages - good PR for next season - got their store of pasta used up - and they sold a few drinks other than water.

Free pasta night! .... A large plate of 3 of their 'house' pasta dishes are served to your table. Including; Pesto, Bolognese, and seafood. The 'true' names escape me!! The food tonight was excellent!! If you wanted another plate of all 3 pasta dishes, then it arrived, no problem! Excellent food, great staff, and superb athmosphere!

Went to the pizza night on Friday and can honestly say that the pizzas are the best I have tasted since coming to live out here - thin and crispy with delicious toppings (I cannot stand doughy pizza). The tiramasu we had for pudding was pretty good too! I really hope that they do stay open this winter, like they are talking about doing, and I also hope they decide to do takeaway pizza as well.

Well done and thank you Da Vinci for a great evening and I hope you have loads of new customers as a result of this PR exercise.

Da Vinci's will be open all winter. They have been painting the reception area and I was told last night that they will be installing a fireplace.

I heard the Da Vinci's is good food but very small portions - is that correct? I might be there out of season soon and it sounds like my sort of place, but I am not one for small portions as I'm sure you can tell  :)

They have an lunchtime offer for a Magherita pizza and a beer for 10 lira. Excellent deal, I think. The picture below is the actual pizza we had on Friday - yummy!

The Davinci crew were all sitting in the Nil yesterday. All their furniture was taken away this week.
The story I was told was that they didn't pay their rent.
