It's looking great. The bulldozers were in there in May, so it was lovely to see the finished product. So much nicer outlook for the little row of bars and restaurants there too.

I remember it 10 years ago - that area was just seats and a fountain that was empty and not working. Pretty much the same then :D

Was told they would be on next week Patrice, but of course this is Turkey so who knows.  ;)  :)

The official opening ceremony is supposedly this month, on the 29th, Republic Day...

Lovely pictures. I did see them on Facebook too.  Taken from Cafe Park Teras which we discovered this time thanks to "Turkey's for Life"  Don't know how we missed this place before, but it certainly gives great views whilst you are having a drink.   Nice one Des.

The boats are at the other end Stoop, back of Migros by Genis, address, restaurants etc, this is the new Posh end.

I believe the official opening is 29/10/12, Selma in Melodi bar told us when we were across.

Have just found out Stoop there are plenty of boats up that end, but on this particular day most of them were out towing Jerry,s boats back in.  ;)  :)  :)

Lovely pictures - the park looks fantastic - we went through it a few times while we were over in September.  It will be fantastic when the water and fountains are working. Lets hope the fountains keep working for more than a year !

According to the poster by Kipa, the opening is now 18th October at 18.00. Also confirmed by the council offices, so perhaps the date has changed  : :)

not yet, think they were working on them today when we walked past but they weren't on
