Title: cafe Genis, my worst meal in fethiye

Hadn't been in the Genis for ages so thought we would give it a try.
(We've been trying to do a different restaurant every night for a change)
Well bad mistake it had to be the worst meal and service ever.
When we sent our meals back and complained the waiter just shrugged and gave us the bill.
No apology. We just paid up and left.
I had chicken schnitzel which was so hard and stringy it was impossible to cut never mind eat.
My OH had pasta with  chickengarlic parsley and cream but it was just hard dry pasta with chicken parsley and melted cheese over the top.
Ah well live and learn better sticking to what we know.

If it was so awful why did you pay the bill?

Shame - we used to love it there but never had time to try it this year. Will be interesting next time we go.

Nice place with clean toilets but if it's gone down the pan then it's off out list.

Some friends were over last week and went there twice as they enjoyed it so much. He had steak, and his wife had seabass and they really enjoyed it.
It's right on the harbour not far from Migros.

I posted several years ago of a smilar experience there. I could have coped with a bad meal but the way the staff dealt wth the situaton ensured we will never go back.

I paid  because it seemed the easiest option.

Stopped going there last year, food was passable, but service bad and they tried to rip me off over a "happy hour" drinks bill !, so haven't been back since, you're spoiled for choice along that strip, so no problem !   ;)  :)
