Title: Next year's spring holiday
Post by: Toky on December 30, 2012, 20:15:27 PM
I've a notion to book a 3 week holiday next time. We never get done all we want to do in 2 weeks. I do get bored easily though and need to be busy. Apart from all you with property out there, have any of you booked a 3 or 4 week holiday and was it a good idea. The price too is a big incentive compared to anywhere else in europe for the same time.
  :)

We have done it a few times, and believe it or not we still didn't get everything done, because we had longer to do it we never got around to it.

We have been going to Calis for the past few years for 4 weeks at a time and can honestly say we have never been bored and thoroughly enjoyed our time there.  We are always amazed at how quickly it goes.  To be honest we don't really do a lot but at least a longer holiday does give you the opportunity to do whatever you like in your own time.  Go for it.

I did 3 weeks last year and I loved every minute of it, in fact I still found it hard to leave.
I say go for it.

I'd love a big CBF meet up party and put faces to all the regular posters.
I think it would rock Calis!!!

we have done 3 week chill outs in calis for the past 3 years and again for 3 weeks from june 3rd,
we have always found things new to do/see  in the area , and in fact there have never been enough time to all we would loved to have done / seen plus many people we have met over the past 9 yrs tend to return at the same time in june so its party time again  this year  :-*

We did 3 and a bit weeks in August.  Yes, it was great BUT it took a huge chunk of our annual leave at work.  This year we have decided on two 10 day breaks taking in bank holidays to save annual leave.  We loved the three weeks but we began to feel like residents there and it sort of lost its holiday feel.  Each to their own of course but whilst we are working to limited annual leave entitlement, I suspect we won't be doing three weeks again.....

We still have the t shirts from the first year's anniversary party at the Ernur of the CBF.  What a great day tghat was.  Although the Rimms got our t shirts made and they had Rosie and Jim on them.  Great  memories.

We always take three weeks May/June.  The time just rushes by and we are never bored and we don't do very much, just chill out and relax during the day and have lovely meals out at night...Total heaven for us.  Bonus is we are usually there for the Calis Beach Carnival, always a week of fun.

We love the place, shame can only make a week for spring holiday. I know not enough but got to get back to work.  However, in the summer usually we take 4 weeks and this always seems to go quickly too.  We have managed to look around locally and our favourite place is Kalecia.  We never get bored of the place and role on spring holidays. 8)

Yes, great memories indeed. The Ernur CBF party of 2004 was the first and remains the best in my opinion. It's funny how things change, at that time we probably had around 1000 members but sold more T shirts by far than the CBF T shirts we did a couple of years back to raise money for the children's charity - at a time when we had around 9,000 members. Must mean something, not sure what  :)

We did 3 weeks for the first time last year and loved it.  so much so we're doing it again in June this year.
Billy is able to 'buy' a week back for extra holidays so we should still get our two weeks at t the end of the season too.
Bliss!

We also did 4 weeks from end of July last year, didn't get bored once and it still wasn't long enough. The only downside was that it was even harder to leave to come home.  :( It does spoil you though, I don't think a 2 week holiday will ever be enough again now we've experienced longer!  :D

When is Calis Beach Carnival this year?  I've used the search bar but I couldn't find a date.

we did three weeks (for the price of two) in Dalyan a couple of years back, and while Dalyan for me does not have to offer what Fethiye/Calis does, it was such a lovely feeling at the end of week one,  knowing we still had two in the bank. gorgeous
