Hi everyone.

A friend contacted me last night and pointed me in the direction of this thread about our light-hearted tribute to the place we love so much. Thank you all so much for your kind comments and for taking the song in the spirit that it was made.

The lyrics were written on the Bati bus to Antalya on the return journey from a two week Xmas and New Year break in Calis. The following morning we headed for the studio in Altrincham, recorded it and popped it up on to you tube the same day. I am the vocalist (Kev) and the music is by Geoff and, quite frankly, we are astonished at the amount of views it has racked up over the last couple of days. The power of the forum!

We hope to have a downloadable link ready sometime tomorrow for anyone who wants it.

Fantastic. Sums up the passion we all have about our particular part of Turkey. I think I'll move to Calis. Somehow I can't see 'Ovacik' scanning into any song!

Sokak91 came to the CBF chat last night and is quite taken and surprised by all the attention. I asked him where Sokak 91 is and he said it was just a random number plucked from the air. Jim Fraser pointed out that Sokak 91 is the road of Mozaik Bahce. If you are going to choose a random street, best to have a decent place to eat on it :D

Brill,cheered me right up as i look out the window into the garden with a foot of snow and three foot icicles hanging down from the roofs,infact that video was better than sex mind you at my age id sooner a large gin and tonnic.Christ i hope the mrs dont read this one,ha,ha.
