Went to see Soul Sister Tina Turner, last night at the Theatre in Aberdeen. Have to say it was fabulous. What a night. The cast where wonderful, singing and music out of this world. The band they had where just so good and the girl who played Tina...what a voice. At the end everyone was up from their seats dancing and clapping, none of the audience wanted it to end. This production is doing the rounds of theatres thoughout the U.K. before it hits the West End in London. So, if it's on near you please do not miss it. Take a look on the net and see if it's coming to your town soon.
I am still basking in the glow and all the songs are going through my head. ;D :-*

Sounds like a great night Jacqui and one to watch out for. My OH has always had a thing about Tina Turner! We saw her live years ago at Don Valley Stadium in Sheffield - she was amazing. But this sounds like the type of show we'll enjoy too.

Likewise we saw her at Don Valley I would guess about 15 years ago.
It was a fantastic concert.

Nut bush city limits one of my all time favorites what a song on full blast .rock on Tina :)

bewva - that sounds about right, couldn't remember just how long ago it was.
We can always remember the trip, apart from Tina, because we'd booked through an agent which included a coach there and back. We were one of the first to be picked up and by the time we'd got to Sheffield it looked more like a Saga holiday outing, we'd be our forties then and probably the some of the youngest on the bus! ;D

All ages in the Theatre last night, from a little girl sitting two seats in front, to a crowd of teenagers along the row and a very elderly lady standing up clapping and dancing in front of me. Everyone was enjoying themselves.
If we get the chance would love to see it again. If you go to Youtube there are videos of the show.

Wow reading this has bought back some lovely memories. I went to see her in Versailles and as the show started late we had to miss the huge firework display at the end of a fantastic show. I wrote to the company we booked with saying how well organised it had been but was naturally disappointed to miss the finale. I was amazed when a few weeks later we received free tickets to see her again at Blenheim Palace .We knew there were about 75000 people there so had taken binoculars and a blanket to sit on. We were walking round before the start of the show and I remarked how silly it was to have these numbers on the tickets as it wasnt necessary with so many people milling about. A security guard who was nearby came and asked to see my tickets and to our total amazement we had been given seats in the VIP area with all the stars and media. I sat next to Dave Lee Travis and chatted to him . Brilliant show and thank you for bringing back so many lovely memories . She has long been one of my favourite artistes.
