Title: Gretings from Norway
Post by: dasvfa on February 02, 2013, 15:10:02 PM
Hello
My name is Dag Sverre Fauske and have been lurking around in this marvelous site the last months. It has become my must trusted and relabel source of information. Have not stumbled over any other Norwegians in here, but hope you give me and warm welcome all the same :-)
As many other new members I come in looking for info on the real estate situation in the area. And the plan is of course to get a nice place in the sun. As and kite surfer and x-para glider pilot the local possibility have had me dreaming of active holidays and eventually an equally active retirement in some years. Maybe some skiing in the high mountains in the winter also. A bit cool that a lot of the mountains have a bit of my first name in them. I all ready feel I have climb them all. :-)

Greetings from a snow cowered Norway.
DagS.

PS. What is the capital of Norway (no looking it up) :-)

Must be Oslo, although I only ever go to Stavanger!
One of my neighbours in Fethiye is Norwegian.
Welcome to the forum

Another warm welcome, you can find lots of great value real estate to pick from around the the Calis, Fethyie and Ovacik area and in terms of your hobbies, take a trip up the mountain to the Olu Deniz area and you will find all you need.

A very warm welcome Dag - nice to have you join us. I haven't been to Norway but I think I may have seen it - from a Shell platform in the North Sea  :)

I went to Norway about 3 years ago on a singing tour.  What a wonderful place it is!  And lovely people.  Mind you, I think you might be pleasantly surprised by the price of beer in Turkey...  ;-)  Have fun.   ;D

Thank you for your welcoming words. Nice to see that some of you have visited Norway and enjoyed it even if the beer is in the upper price range. 100 kr or 11 pounds for a pint the worst places.

Velkommen Dag, spent many long months in Northern Norway and Svalbard whilst in the military and oil exploration, I loved the place dearly, though a bit "chilly" sometimes, hope you enjoy the Calis/Fethiye region, as you say lots of great adventurous stuff to do, nyte !!   :)

In english: Just a warm velcome from another Norwegian!

Mvh Frode
