Last night 4 of us went to the Buffalo Bar in Fethiye and found the place to be warm and inviting, there were 4 Turkish lads playing on the music stage and it was good Turkish music for the evening.
The free starter was an excellent Turkish bread with 4 different dips.
One of us had grilled chicken and chips, a good sized portion and was tasty.
Another had Sweet & Sour Chilli Chicken, plenty of it and no complaints
The third had Chicken Schnitzel, only complaint was there were 2 very thin slices of chicken instead of leaving it in one piece.
I had a Thai stir fry, the only complaint was that they used way too much ( Oyster, i think) sauce.
All in all no problems and no serious complaints and the staff were polite.
I had tried to find the price of beer without asking the waiter and appearing to be mean, but could not find a price anywhere. I fully expected to pay 7TL maximum, but was gobsmaked when i was charged 8TL!!!!!! A small water was 2TL.
As we were going out of the place, i told the guy that i was going to bring the family but there was no way i was going to pay that kind of money for a beer.
There were quite a few Turkish people eating.
This is not to slate the place, just to make people aware before they go in of the price of the drinks

Thanks for doing a review snowtop - we need as many as possible on the forum.
We went to the Buffalo with Cenk and Olga last year (early May) and although it was very quiet, we enjoyed it. I was not impressed to find our table had a condiment set comprising of salt and..salt but I am irritating in my dismay at the lack of the basics. We found the hosts to be fabulous, the food to be good and the evening to be worth going back for.
As I always say, I have no idea how much people charge for drinks, I never ask and that policy always serves me well on holiday. If the bill comes and I am shocked by the drinks prices I simply never go back :)

You start your post mentioning:
- warm and inviting place
- 4 musicians playing good music
- free starter
The beer might be more expensive than normal but something/somebody has to pay for the above. Don't you think?

Well said Dutchie - one of the problems in Calis too is that everything is judged by some on how much an Efes is, not on what you get for the price of your Efes.

We really fancied a night here, but it was closed all Summer, hope will be open in Spring/Summer this year.
We also never look at drink prices, if we have a good time we figure it's worth the money. If we don't we will not go back. However, I don't think my husband could tell you how much an Efes is he just drinks it and enjoys his holidays..

if you read what i posted you would see that i said that i was not slateing the place, just making people aware of the cost as there was no drinks list for people to judge what to buy. Also that i was making people aware of the costs. This is a subject that could be argued on for ever. I know things have to be paid for, i was in the retail business for quite a few years, i also know that profit margins have to be made and staff have to be paid. but in the greater majority of eateries, there is a drinks price list somewhere. Anyway, people are now aware and it is their choice as to what they do.
Scunner, you made a very valid point, ''one of the problems in Calis too is that everything is judged by some on how much an Efes is, not on what you get for the price of your Efes.'' and i whole heartedly agree with you, but that certainly was not the reason behind my post. Also people who come on holiday and quite rightly, do not bother much about prices, i never worry when i go to UK or where ever for a holiday because it is only for a short time and i have saved up some cash. When the place is your home then you look at things from a different perspective. Anyway, it was a good meal and would recommend it.

When we were here on holiday we were exactly the same, never looked at the price (which is probably why Turkish people think we are all mega rich) but now that we are here most of the year we do tend to eat and drink where the prices are reasonable and also where there is some form of heating.

I'm sorry if my post came across as criticising yours snowtop, that wasn't my intention at all. I had the misfortune to have an involvement in a bar over there for a while and I know it is hard to do special events and extras when you are only judged on your Efes price. Not that I thought you based your opinion of Buffalo on their Efes price, you certainly didn't :)

no offence taken at all scunner.
