We returned to Turkey on 13th February from Stansted to Istanbul with Pegasus, with onward flight to Dalaman.
I have just checked the entry stamp in my passport and it says 13.02.2018 instead of 2013. My wife who was behind me has the correct entry date stamp on her passport. We have Residency.
I think this will cause a problem at Dalaman when we go back to the UK in June for our summer holiday, and need to know if there is anyway this can be rectified, and where, as I do not want any trouble at Dalaman in June.
Any advice would be gratefully received.

They go by the dates on the Polis computer system, the stamping of the passport is of secondary importance.

If you are worried I would suggest a visit to the passport polis down at Fethiye harbour, to put your mind at rest, you may also want to take a Turkish friend to translate for you...

But for the record, what will actually happen is that the passport control guy will spend several minutes looking at it, then showing it to colleagues in adjacent kiosks, then go on the phone and a more important passport controller will come and they will give it to him and a big discussion will commence - everyone involved so far will have made fleeting serious looks deep into your eyes, perhaps one might even say "problem" in your direction - then at least 3 men in plain clothes will arrive with ID cards hanging round their necks, and pass it amongst themselves and point at it, talking in a very serious manner indeed.
Then the initial passport guy will be given the passport, he'll stamp it and give it back to you, then stare through you to indicate it's time for you to go on through, you have wasted enough of his time.

Thanks guys for the advice. Think I may pop down to the Passport Police to make sure. Don`t fancy those `serious looks` mentioned by Scunner.

Scunners description is very similar to what happened to me when I visited them about another passport related problem - only diference was the amount of plain clothed men with iD cards - I only got the one.
-
I don't see how it will cause a problem besides a few funny looks.
If it really says 2018 and it's not just a 13 with a smudge, then it's obvious that somebody made a mistake.

Unless they believe you did arrive in 2018 and this time are only there because you fancied travelling back in time :D

I had reason to visit the Passport Police in Fethiye last year and found them very helpful. I had gone into Turkcell to register a foreign phone which can only be done in your first month of entry to Turkey. Unfortunately, the entry stamp was illegible so I was dispatched to the Passport Police who sent me across the road to have my Passport photocopied, they then entered my date of entry on the photocopy.
To set your mind at rest you should go and get a photocopy of your passport and entry page authenticated and you will then be able to produce this at Dalaman when leaving the country.
